Hilton Park Golf Club - The Hilton Course

Should be pre warned that there are 4man scrambles on in front of you. Or the “members” should have allowed us through as there wa only 2 of us. Took 2.5hrs to play 11 holes. We skipped holes 13-16 and played 17-18 to come off, every hole from the second tee we were held up waiting for 5-10 minutes per tee box.

I get it’s a medal but cmon, there’s a medal then there is just taking the utter mick

Booked in to play on the Hilton Course - 12pm tee.

When checking in was told I’d be playing the other course the Allander. Despite double checking right course - shop staff insisted it was the Allander course. Personally had booked in to play the Hilton as understood it to be longer and a bit more scenic. So despite my better judgement thought I’d play the Allander.

Walking up to the tee - four older gentleman were teeing off at 12 - which I was sure was my tee time. Heard another older gentleman on the putting green say to his friend they were off at 12.10. Little confused I went back to the pro shop who told me I was off at 12:05…

Cannot speak too much to the Hilton course otherwise as wasn’t allowed onto it - looked like there was some sort of event on which is perhaps why I was turfed onto the Allander course. Would have been nice to have had forewarning of this and I would have cancelled. Instead I felt pretty gaslight that maybe I had booked the wrong course.

Allander course was pretty dire - I ended up cutting my round short - has been a lot of rain recently but the drainage on the course is poor - whole course was incredibly soft - even tee boxes had puddles on them. Huge swathes of GUR areas on fairways and around greens. Did seem like perhaps with two courses the grounds staff are just too stretched.

Few putting greens were decent - practice nets were terrible and need to be upgraded. Well stocked pro shop and reasonable food in clubhouse.

The staff were very welcoming and the condition of the course was fantastic. A bit hilly terrain but all of the holes were fair challenges. A beautiful course and surrounding countryside.

Course was in decent condition for this time of year and a 4 ball very kindly let me go ahead on the first tee.A very nice course that I’m sure will be superb once the weather changes.Will definitely come back.

Quite a lot of four balls . But that didn’t slow the pace of play. Amazing experience & afternoon on a great Hilton park course . I will definitely be back . 👍🏌🏾‍♂️

Great course with a good variety of holes

Staff in professional shop and clubhouse were friendly and easy to talk too.

Would advise a buggy.

The Hilton is one of 2 courses available at this venue. It is the longest but it is more open; great for a big hitter. It is also designed to create a variety of challenges.. I really enjoyed the course and found the staff, Professional and the members to be extremely friendly and welcoming.

Only thing I would recommend put a few signs up letting you know which direction next tee is !! Just a little confusing on a few holes.

Nice course but hilly for older golfers but overall lovely condition and not to difficult holes

Best golf course I’ve played so far from the warm welcome to condition of the course and greens which were immaculate and fast to the nice weather all made for a perfect day of golf will definitely be back asap would highly recommend

This is a fantastic course in stunning scenery..

The pro shop and clubhouse were very welcoming,, great lunch and friendly service.

The course itself was in wonderful condition, a few soggy areas remained from recent downpours but well presented.

The course is hilly and a fairly long track if you are not reasonably fit but well worth the effort.

Will definitely return, thanks to all for the welcome.

Golf course in good condition and greens well cut.

Lack of notices directing you to next tee and distance markers on fairway difficult to find but bunkers with new sand good.

A map on the card would have helped especially as had to finish early and difficult to find bearings back to club house.

First time playing at Hilton Park golf club, and we could not believe how beautiful the Hilton course was. We have played most of the courses in Scotland and Hilton was definitely our favourite. The staff are extremely friendly, the facilities superb, and to top it off, the food excellent. Can’t believe it took this long for us to play here, the scenery and course condition is stunning. Can’t wait to return.

Considering the weather last few months course was in pristine condition and the greens were perfect, credit to the green staff
