Scoonie Golf Club
About
Given its seaside location overlooking picturesque farmland to the north and the Forth Estuary to the south, golfers would expect Scoonie Golf Club to be a traditional links layout but it is actually a parkland course. The stunning views of the surrounding countryside contrast nicely with the views of the sea. Long hitters might be disappointed since the golf course is quite short at 5,494 yards with the longest hole only reaching to 430 yards. It is a tight layout that is tough but fair. Accuracy is a necessity since players can find themselves facing a handful of problems from going even just a little wide. The club proudly boasts well manicured fairways and greens that are maintained to the highest standard. It is because of the excellent conditions that Scoonie Golf Club has garnered quite a following.

Nice wee course
A nice little course and not overly testing for experienced golfers. Greens are always very good.
Excellent, well maintained course. Friendly and helpful starter.
From the I arrived at the course, I was greeted by a friendly, courteous & very helpful member of staff. Course information & clubhouse facilities explained, even allowed to tee off earlier than arranged time.
I really enjoyed my round & will definitely return.
Scoonie golf club
Scoonie is a gem of a course. Friendly staff accommodating our requests and making it a most enjoyable experience. Great value too.
Scoonie
Great course to play conditions could be better but due to very dry season it's understandable brilliant course to play
Scoonie
Fairways were in good condition but the greens need attention, but think it was due to not having any rain to help them grow. The green keepers were watering them which helped.
Played it a few times, the staff are very helpful and friendly.
Great wee course
Course was on superb condition greens were superb. Thoroughly enjoyed it will be back soon.
Scoonie
Having only played here twice Really enjoyed the course, talking to other players on the course the major consensus was that the greens were very dried out and hard and balls ran through, not ideal for shots into the green so a lot of chip and runs required. All being said and done still a great day had by all in my party and will definitely go again. On previous visit have to say it was immaculate.
Staff very friendly and welcoming and pace of play good
Well maintained course by Fife Golf Trust
Not the most beautiful or difficult course in Fife, but you simply can't beat the value for money here at Scoonie.
Scoonie
Great little course with plenty of challenges and unique holes. I will return very soon.
Good little test
While short it has all the challenges you need. Great value and the drainage is much improved since the last time I played it. Staff were friendly at the bar afterwards.
Welcoming and friendly
Brilliant round using GN to secure a £7.50 !!! Hot deal . However the course is worth several times that as super condition, no mats and full greens. Some work being done so one hole out of play and winder tees forward but overall great experience and I look forward to playing in the summer.
Definite potential
First time playing and winter golf in Scotland is tricky for courses. It was a dry day but the course was suffering from previous wet weather, so it was really soft and muddy. Also undergoing a lot of maintenance/course improvement. Not unusual at this time of year. Layout is good with some nice mature trees on parkland. Think it will be a different beast in summer and hope to get another opportunity then.
Great wee course
The tees were forward making it a little shorter but still fun. Winter golf with full greens and no need to play off mats. Great day out.
Winter greens; a lot of short hole's but still good
scoonie
good wee course
if you have the time go for 2 rounds as you can be round in 2 hours at the moment due to mats for teeing, the course is a good bit shorter
great greens for november
