Scoonie Golf Club

About
Given its seaside location overlooking picturesque farmland to the north and the Forth Estuary to the south, golfers would expect Scoonie Golf Club to be a traditional links layout but it is actually a parkland course. The stunning views of the surrounding countryside contrast nicely with the views of the sea. Long hitters might be disappointed since the golf course is quite short at 5,494 yards with the longest hole only reaching to 430 yards. It is a tight layout that is tough but fair. Accuracy is a necessity since players can find themselves facing a handful of problems from going even just a little wide. The club proudly boasts well manicured fairways and greens that are maintained to the highest standard. It is because of the excellent conditions that Scoonie Golf Club has garnered quite a following.

Warm welcome , lovely course and great value
The booking on App worked easily and we were welcomed warmly by Steve the pro and he gave us some local knowledge before we set off. My wife and I completed our 18 holes comfortably in less than three hours. The course is compact and had a good flow to it. There were some beautiful views of the Firth of Forth and the holes were challenging enough. Good shots and decisions were rewarded. The staff in the clubhouse were also very friendly. We loved our experience at Scoonie Golf Club and will be returning for more. Congratulations to the Fife Golf Trust…Scoonie is a little gem!
Nice wee round
Tight wee course, good fun, and some good challenges
Lovely Sunday afternoon round of golf
Perfect weather for a round of golf. Some very minor issues with one or two of the tees and greens but nothing that spoiled my enjoyment of the course. These are probably due to the hot weather this summer.
Looking forward to playing again soon.
There is nothing not to like about this course.
Note a long course and quiet flat. First time playing this course and we would like to come back. The pro and the members were very helpful and courteous. The course was in good condition a bit dry but very playable considering we are experiencing a drought.
The food was freshly made, quickly served and reasonable priced. Raspberry cheesecake amazing.
Excellent venue for golf and food
We really enjoyed returning to Scoonie after a gap for several years. The course was in excellent condition, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The plus was the addition of catering and very good food.
We’ll be back.
Nice course for all abilities, not very long and reasonably open fairways. Good condition with some interesting holes. Welcoming staff and good facilities
Great value for money
This was a hot deal from golf now only £12 per round, great value. The course is ok, some interesting holes. Sadly there has been no rain for weeks so it is very dry, but that does help the run on the ball. Greens were ok, but suffering a little. Staff were very friendly.
Good course back 9 tougher than the front 9.
Had a lovely day out at scoonie. Course was in very good condition although a few of the greens were a bit bobbley.. its well laid out no long walks between greens and next tee.. back 9 surprisingly hilly for a links course, which made it more challenging. I would say a few of the par 4's are greenable for big hitters . but there are enough well placed traps to make that potentially a bad choice !
Staff were really friendly and the food in the clubhouse was fantastic and great value. You can get a 3 course meal for £14 ... We had the fish as out main and it was fresh and delicious.. overall a great day and we will certainly be back
Good for the price
Short course. Some challenging holes. Enjoyed our afternoon.. pity there were no par 5 s.
GREAT FUN COURSE
Fun course to play, can get around in 2/3 hours. Par 3s on this course were great.
