Kirkintilloch Golf Club

Beware these greens are like lightning, I played after a considerable amount of rain fell and it made not a jot of a difference the greens are so good. The fairways are lush which provides a nice lie, but they are tight and almost all are tree lined. This course is a challenge, so bring your “A” game!!!

Went to the club for an 8.28 tee off and there was no one there to meet us other than the cleaner who didn't know when anyone would be available. Teed off anyway at our time in the pouring rain( not the clubs fault obviously) got through 4 holes and the course was completed soaked, greens were basically ponds and so wet underfoot you could hardly see the ball. Went into starters office after the 4th hole and the guy was friendly and said he would arrange with golfnow for a refund only to find out that they actually told golfnow the course wasn't shut. I'm no greenkeeper but had there been someone there at the time im sure it would have been shut. The club have offered to honour our booking and give us another time but 4 guys took a day off to hopefully enjoy a round of golf and it has left a bitter taste. If we get to play again ill update on the course etc but very disappointed with the whole situation so far. My local club is a council course and we are warmly welcomed at 7am. The least id expect from a private course. Time will tell.

Great course and top facilities. Well laid out and great condition. Good challenge for 2 guys just getting back into golf without being off-putting. Greens big but true. Enjoyed it thoroughly and will definitely be back. Shout out to the guys in pro shop who were accomodating and friendly before and after the round, giving good info on possible membership deals. On the list for that for sure

Course was in fantastic condition, greens were absolutely superb, 4ball in front let us through as soon as we caught up what more can you really ask for on a glorious sunny Friday afternoon

The weather made it amazing, hot and sunny. Really liked everything about the course.

The course was in amazing condition. Beautiful fairways, challenging greens and bunkers . Greens in superb condition. Very friendly club in a beautiful setting. Would recommend highly.

A James Braid creation ,over 100 years old it is not a long course but challenging with some interesting holes and good greens. Played in a dry spell there was a lot of run which made some par 4s easier than normal.

Course was in excellent condition and greens where superb.. had played before but many years ago…felt longer than I remembered it…never seen so many bunkers on a golf course ..all greens where well protected by sand traps..I was in enough to know..good value for money .

Very happy with the course which had to deal with constant rain for the back 9. Greens were brilliant and the course was a good challenge. I would recommend to a friend.

Interacted with nice members and had coffee and hot roll afterwards in the club house.
