Good course for the money
The course was in good condition and was a good walk. There are a lot of trees in the fairway that affect approach shots so be sure to think a shot or two ahead of your current shot.
Great Test
This course is probably the best LB course as far as toughness. Course is in excellent shape! Hats off to the staff to keep a muni looking like this. Eldo is narrower with lots of trees and makes u work for your score. But when u fire s decent round you’re proud of yourself because u know how hard this place can be. Greens/fairways/teeboxes were in great shape. Great time!!
Love El Do!
Always in good shape and pace is usually great if you play early enough. Best greens of all the LBC Muni’s in my opinion. Fairways were in great shape. Bunkers were raked but I always have issues with them. Not the greatest sand in the world but if you stay out of them then it’s a great track!
Nice course
El Dorado was a nice course. Reasonably priced tee times. Course is in pretty good shape. Pace of play was great.
Honestly though in 20 years of golfing at numerous courses, it's the first time I've arrived in the pro shop 10 minutes before tee off, and been chided for being late, due to the course, "running early" and them sending out groups well ahead of the scheduled times.
Regardless of that oddity El Dorado was a nice course and I'd recommend it if for no other reason than the pace of play. Just be aware that if you book a 1230p tee time it may or may not actually be at 1230p.
Very good condition as usual
Course in very good condition as usual. I play most courses in the area... and El Dorado is definitely in my rotation as I can always rely on it being in good condition. Very good layout and always an enjoyable round.
Gold in the LBC
First time playing El Dorado and I was not disappointed. Great track, course conditions were great. Some of the nicest greens in LA County. Great practice facilities and restaurant/bar that is quality. Friendly staff. I’ll definitely plan on playing again if I get the chance.
Love El Dorado Golf Course
It’s such a great course so it’s crowded but it’s definitely worth the money!
Solid course
A relatively short course. Well bunkered, and greens were fast, due to tournament having been played recently. Course never disappoints. Always in great condition, even with the amount of play. Well worth the money.
Love Eldo!
Eldo is my favorite course in Long Beach and I always have a good time when I play there. I just wish It was a bit cheaper but that’s basically universal in golf!
Good course but less dramatic
All course conditions were excellent but the course is flat and easy. Most of all holes are the same layout.
Relaxing and fun
Beautiful conditions, but a little fast on gear greens. We had no pressure for 4 of us.
You need to be accurate to stay out of trees. The only issue were the aerated greens. Very fast and hard to stop a ball.
Wish the outside BBQ was back! That would have bee easier to grab a bite.
The fairways are all excellent or better in shape. Felt like Palm Springs. Definitely comi5back
