Watching paint dry
So this was my 5th stop during the comeback. I will never do a Sunday again at this course. I had played this course a few time back in the late 80's and 90's. It was better then. A bit more organized. I got out alright but there was no organization from the starter to the tee. Total fail. We hit in front of a group that was ahead of us but no one told us. The rate of play was terrible. Fivesomes are a joke and on a Sunday you will be lucky to finish in well over 5 hours. They need to manage this better. Golf Rangers need to push players. I will play it again but on a weekday. Please do better with managing this nice course. Thanks
Great course, poor pace of play
Went on Memorial Day. Beautiful day, course is in great condition. Greens played quick, fairways were fair. Often waited 3-10 mins in between shots. Tee time was at 11:24, didn’t tee off until 11:50. Finished the round at 6pm. Way too long to play a round.
Play if u like 5 1/2 Hour+ Rounds & 5somes
Im writing this review on the 17th tee because the auto email spits out at 5 hours after your round to post a review.
Rates have been jacked up to $75 a round, which I have no problem with for a 4.15 hour round. Totally overbooked made this round blow!
Its a great facility but clearly going the road of Los Verdes and complete mismanagement of tee times.
Wont be back soon!
Good time
Nice round, good layout, opportunity to score if playing well
Tree lined fairways making accurate shots key
Greens held shots but were fast and rolled well
Played with 3 local gentleman and had a good time
pace
New PGA rules to speed up play don't work when no Marshall and people try putts three times and don't make it. Tee time 11:56 am finished 5:20 pm. Just to long
Great Course And Quick Play
Great course for intermediate golfers. Challenging dog legs. Greens were punched about a week ago so we’re not in great shape
I Will Be Back
Good course but does not drain well so the fairways were soggy and had puddles. Also , the greens were just sanded. But overall it was a good course and I want to play it again.
Great Place to Play
2nd time in 2 weeks playing here. With all of the rain the course was soaked and had ponds in the fairways. Greens were being aerated so that stunk. But the course is great. Wide open fairways, and tough greens. Well taken care of. Again the only problem is pace of play. The marshal was out making sure everyone stayed on the cart path since it was wet out, but they never tell anyone to pick up the pace. That really is the only complaint.
Great, tough course
Course was very nice. Friendly staff. Long par 3's. Only negative is slow play. Great place means busy place, but you have a ranger on the course for a reason.
Early Morning Round
Played El Dorado on a cold February morning. It rained a few days ago but the course drained pretty well overall. Greens and fairways were pretty good but grass was just being cut as they probably could not any other time during the week because of the rain. Pace was good and staff were friendly.
Got it on a bad day
Played here before with no problems but this round was a disaster. It's obvious that the course does not drain well. It was cart path only which was fine. But there were mini lakes in the middle of many fairway. Slogging out from the cart path to your balls was tricky. But the biggest problem was the tournament they sent out in the morning that held everyone up. Not quite sure why they don't have more Marshalls out there under those kind of conditions.
Wet conditions after rains. Greens are good.
there is a lot of standing water in the fairways and in the rough. Greens are in Fairly good shape they do roll true. Not worth normal rates right now.
Opened for play on a rainy day, and I was roped into playing because GolfNow would not refund my money. The course was literally underwater. There wasn't a single hole (or shot) that was playable without taking relief from "casual water". Even then, the course was so wet, you could not complete relief without ending up the rough. The best you could do was fish your ball out of all the standing water in the fairways.. The course should not have been open. But the greedy operators, American Golf, shoved people out there anyway, and mashalls literally forced us to keep the cart on the paths. The conditions were so terrible, we quit after 9 holes. Why can't I give this course a "no star" rating? I didn't even desire one star. It was below "Poor". It was "Horrible".
