Dougalston Golf Club

Was very pleasant again, 2nd time in less than a week. Great coarse, would certainly play again, only downside is the greens were uneven… ( bobbly) so certainly need to be rolled…. But appreciate we only coming out of winter so I am sure they will be top notch for the summer… great friendly staff as always. Will be back

It needs better directions between tee we going ourselves wandering mote than once

Excellent course first time playing. For a novice a large part of the course is tight with trees but equally this adds to the beauty of the course even if I keep hitting them. Due to time of year if your not in the fairway it’s very mushy as expected however the rest in great condition. Will absolutely be back.

Attended Douglaston on Sunday and was informed on arrival that winter greens were in play on all holes. This wasn’t relayed at time of booking but understand that this can happen at this time of year.

The course was saturated throughout but more frustratingly was that the winter greens were not even cut or maintained any different than the standard fairway making it practically impossible to put.

Had we known this, we would not have travelled / booked in the first place.

Challenging course would definitely recommend and play again 👍

First time playing here and will be back. Staff really friendly. Overall, well maintained course. Good variation and some challenging holes.

Course should have been closed. Drives plugging in the fairway so badly we had to dig them out with our divot tools. Approach shots sinking into greens. Putts bumping all over the place through the footprints. We caught up with the group who teed off 20mins ahead of us at the 5th. Group ahead of them slowing them down. They eventually played through but refused to do so for us. I’m all for growing the game but people need to learn the rules & etiquette. 4 hours for a 2 ball is ridiculous!

Cracking course greens a bit wet but expected with the rain last few days

Have been a member of the course in the past. Tough demanding course but anything but bland. Has declined a bit in terms of presentation but still well worth a round and great value for money

A really good and challenging course, great variety of holes definitely will play again.

Outstanding course. Tough but fair challenge. Whilst the hole directions are pretty well marked my advice, if you are playing the course for the first time is accompany someone who is familiar with the course. If not familiar, the scorecard Map is pretty good. The course has several great holes and no gimmes. If you take golf seriously and you want a challenge, Dougalston is for you. 11/08/22

Well worth a visit, great layout, holes over water, tricky down hill par 3's very good fun to play, fairways are a bit mossy and greens are not perfect, but value for money and a good day out.

Didn’t like this course too long and confusing and long walk between tees etc. Rough was heavy and lost so many balls. Needs a bit of decent grounds maintenance. Could be nice but just i isn’t

Though my golf wasn't great the course was good. Greens perfect fairways well kept. Some tight fairways but some lovely views too. Had a great day as a two ball.

Good course offering all types of holes from excellent par threes to tricky par fives will definitely be back

Grenns are in great condition tee boxes need a bit of work to bring them up to a better standard, everything else about the corse is worth playing, overall a good day
