The Golf Club at North Hampton
About
The Golf Club at North Hampton offers a traditional Scottish links-style course right in northeast Florida. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the layout meanders through dramatic elevation changes of over 40 feet and ten spring-fed lakes lined with coquina boulders. Sprawled across rolling hills and wild grasses, the golf course is sculpted from beautiful Florida woodlands, offering a round that is as scenic as it is challenging. The Golf Club at North Hampton's hard-to-read greens are massive and move very quickly. There are also tight fairways, many of which feature blind approaches. To make it even trickier, strong winds often sweep through the course, some even reaching a speed of 30 miles an hour.

Well worth the $$
I have played this course more times than I can remember and as always a great value and challenging !!!!! If you are a beginner bring a lot of extra balls, you will need them.
Wow
Beautiful course. Great carts with GPS giving you yardage to the pins and to hazards. Nicest course I've played to date. Well worth the money. The only issue was the maintenance crew seemed to move just ahead of us on about 4 holes. They would work around the green until you hit on the green. We found that a little bizarre.
Impressed
I've played the majority of courses in jacksonville multiple times but this was my first time @ North Hampton & I was very impressed with the beauty & condition of the course, would definitely recommend to everybody!!
Diamond in North Florida
Words can not describe the excitement I had while playing this course. The overall conditions were awesome, the staff was very friendly and the course layout of truly stunning. The Sunday I played they had reached an attendance record but you never would have known by how well the course kept up. There was a starter and marshall the day I played and both were very pleasant. The beauty of the course is what really stuck with me after the round. Everything from the cart path to the greens are laid out so natural. The King made one heck of a diamond in North Florida to be enjoyed by all! Thank you to all at the Golf Club at North Hampton for a truly beautiful day. Can't wait to play the course again.
Rain and wind... Bring your "A" game
course conditions we're fantastic. Place is very nice and a fun course to play. The gps on the cart was a great help b/c this was my first time playing this course. Will play again soon and hopefully it won't be as windy or raining.
Best in B]North Florida
I used to live in Jax and would play the Fernandina public course and visit the Palace Saloon, but never again since I found N Hampton. Tough, beautiful, links style with plenty of elevation changes, water and sand. Generally wide enough fairways so only stray shots or poor distance control finds the hazards - ball control and tee selection to match your handicap greatly improves scoring. Beautiful views, great fairways, generous greens - a round on a course you will not soon forget...
Great Layout
This course was an excellent layout with several tee options to accommodate varying skill levels. Very enjoyable experience and fantastic value. We will play here again.
Great Course
A great experience from start to finish! The houses are not so close as to be intrusive. We playerd twice while on vacation and loved it both times despite 90 degree heat.
Great Course
This is one of my favorite courses in the Jacksonville area. Love the layout of the course and it is always in great shape for a public course.
Beautiful Golf Course
We played 3 days after the US Open qualifier. The greens were quick and fun . Nice wide open venue .
We will return
Great Course
Great course , very friendly staff . We couldn't have asked for more , it was a perfect morning playing golf .
One of the best
Every hole is a challenge. Elelvation changes and rolling fairways stand out among area courses that are relatively flat. From the blue tees back you better bring your control game, or a lot of balls. Great layout, fast greens, lush fairways, one of the best and toughest around
Good value for the area
The course staff were great and worked with us on changing our initial tee time because it was a rainy day. We played the course 3x during the week we were in the area. Enjoyed each time we played.
Nice links course
A friend and I stopped here on our way to augusta for the masters not knowing the area courses just went by the reviews and we were not disappointed great links style course in very good shape and we paid $42 ! Awesome value would play again for sure if in the area highly recommend
Great layout.
Challenging layout, greens rolled true. Bunkers were in good shape and easy to control shots out of. Should of hit 3 iron off a few teeboxes, but other than that, the course is fairly open.. Lots of undulations and tough green reads.
Good track
Great value at $50; slope from the blacks listed at 144 but played more like 135. Pebble is 145.
will come again.
Afternoon Saturday
Awesome coarse - not easy will add strokes to your normal score
Excellent Condition
The Golf Club at North Hampton was in excellent condition and the staff was very personable and helpful. One issue was the absence of the starter, we waited for about ten minutes and went off the first tee without ever seeing him. The beverage cart was timely and the girl was polite. We only saw a ranger once and really wish there was one on the back nine as two guys ahead of us did not know the meaning of ready golf or how to take less than 20 minutes to play a hole. These two clowns repeatedly waited and stood in the middle of the fairway before taking their next shot. They also spent more time hunting for someone else's lost ball in the woods/water than playing the game. The lack of a competent ranger made us skip the last two holes as it had already taken over 2 1/2 hours to complete the seven holes on the back nine. There was no one ahead of these guys and they were just complete slow, old morons. I would return to play this course as everything was well done except the need for a ranger. I made it known to the staff that the lack of a ranger that would move these guys along or allow us to play through was needed.
Great Day
Definitely a favorite in North FL. You had the best looking cart girl around, sorry to hear that she was retiring.
