Troon Links - Fullarton

About
The Troon Links - Fullarton sits just minutes from Royal Troon Golf Club's links and comes in at a relatively short 5,000 yards, making it appropriate for newer golfers or a quick warm-up.
The Troon Links - Fullarton is uplands links and features narrow fairways that undulate and are guarded by heather and gorse. The long hole comes first, measuring 434 yards, and six par-3 holes require precision rather than power.
Many golfers golf the Troon Municpal Fullarton Course in tandem with Lochgreen or Darley. Others, such as women and short-gamers, choose just these 18 holes.

Review
Great for the time of year, and weather conditions
Review
It was very good for time of year and it had been heavy rain for a couple of days leading up .this course is very short with only a couple of averagelength par fours ,big hitters cant use driver.. It's great for a quick game and to touch up your short game
Fun course
Tried out and definitely worth the visit. Greens in a great condition. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Round of Golf at Fullerton Troon
Having arrived 30 mins before our tee off time we decided to have something to eat and drink having already checked in by a Very helpful and friendly staff member we had no problems teeing off exactly on time weather was fantastic warm and sunny the fairways were in good condition and the greens were faster than we had been used to ( albeit had been 3 years since we played the same course lol) although there was slower players in front of us it didn't spoil our round which took 3 and a half hours to complete this course this is the smaller of the 3 courses and excellent for us not so big hitters
Nice Layout
I’ve played this course for nearly 50 years. It’s not too long or difficult, but great to play and have an enjoyable few hours.
Nice Shorter Course
Course length and open fairways perfect for my higher handicap to improve without beating me up. Great day at Fullerton
Nice Executive course
Good executive length course a reasonable price Nice way to begin our trip to Scotland. Got flavour of links golf including local culture (people walking dogs on course ect.). Fairways generous, rough and gorse brutal. Loved it.
Great links course, in very good condition. No wind so played relatively easy but when wind gets up would be a tough challenge on this shortish course.
great course
My first time golfing on this course and I loved it
Close but no cigar
I should really do more research before clicking it’s basically a public course, no harm in that but when you are surrounded by beautiful courses a better choice could have been made
Darley vs Fullarton
Played Darley links 2 years ago so decided to try neighbouring Fullarton links as both courses share the same facilities. I would say that Darley is more challenging as Fullarton has only a couple of holes over 400 yards. Played on Friday of Open at Troon so had enhanced experience of crowd noise which was great! Greens were in great condition and fairways were typical links. Speed of play just over 3 hours for 4 ball.
Clubhouse very welcoming particularly bar staff. I ordered a gluten free toastie and lady gave me an extra slice as she said the plate looked too small , thank you!
We will return.
