Government Run Crap
The tax payers and patrons deserve better. The course is NOT green but BROWN. Stay away so the city gets it together but not enough people will do that so we'll have to settle with this crap!
Course in great shape and excellent pace of play
No complaints whatsoever about the course. It is in excellent condition. Even the bunkers were in good shape. We finished in 4 hours. Very pleased.
It was a great round, despite the starter Bip's efforts to ruin my mood before the round. I highly recommend his termination as he adds nothing positive or useful to golfers or the golf course. We can hear the loud speaker from the pro shop just fine. Unfortunately I also had to interact with Bip as well.
Decent, but not worth the money.
Not what you would expect for an $80 weekend green fee. Greens were not mowed or rolled and bumpy, tee boxes were spotty, at best, and there are virtually no yardage markers on the course. The best you will find are a few sprinkler heads that are marked. No 150 or 100 yard markers. No more GPS on the carts. The driving range faces directly into the sun in the morning, so the people paying the highest green fees get the worst range experience. No practice greens were available. No rakes for the bunkers (I assume because of covid). I play 2-3 times a week and this course is only worth $60 on the weekend, at most.
Good layout, Bad course conditions
At $80 this place is simply not worth the money whatsoever. Plenty of other courses for less than $50 that are much better than Skylinks.
The tee boxes were mostly fine, so were the greens, but the fairways were just awful. Completely dead, no patches of healthy green anywhere to be found. Straight up barren.
I likely won’t play here again and can’t recommend it.
