Skylinks Golf Course

Left after 9 holes, vibe of the course was off and therefore so was my game. PS 9th hole literally smelled like boom boom

I really enjoyed Skylinks. I found the layout to be similar to El Dorado in a lot of ways, plenty of water, really nice greens and mature trees. I will definitely be back!

Born and raise in Long Beach I have played this golf course a lot . I will say this course has gone down hill . This doesn’t even play like links anymore . They over charge play here . The course is always in average shape . The tee box are horrible anymore . I will say El Dorado is a much nicer golf course in this place

The first time I played here I thought it was one of the best courses for the money in the area, but this last round was pretty disappointing in terms of value. The greens were good but the fairways had a lot of dirt patches and the rough was cut extremely short so it was basically more fairway. Still, I like the layout and the round was pretty enjoyable overall.

When I went to play, instead of $47 quoted from GolfNow, they told me to pay $67. The staff told me I can get refund for the difference. I had 3 players including me. I had to pay $60 more than I was quoted from GolfNow.com. I want my refund now when you read this. Please contact me, you have my contact information. Thank you.

Best municipal fairways I’ve played in a long time.

As it has been brought up before, the navigation range finder on the carts are off by 10 to 15 yards, it’s just disheartening when you have a good game going and you shoot right over the pin and end up over the green and end up with a bogey instead of a birdie, DIAL IN THE NAV ON CARTS PLEASE, if that’s too much to ask for 15 bucks for cart, make it 10 bucks and I will buy a battery for my range finder, not too much to ask... other than that, I would recommend the course, not the courses fault, please fix the carts.

I enjoy playing Skylinks. The green complexes don’t have rough around them which allows for a variety of different shots to be played including the ol’ Texas Wedge from 20 yards. Course is in good shape but they are aerating on 9/28. My only complaint here is that the GPS on the carts is wrong 90% of the time. It will show the pin on the screen as back right and give you the yardage as such when it’s clearly a front left pin. I suggest paying attention instead to the front of green and back of green numbers and adjust accordingly. Either that or use alternate means to get your yardage. I tried the 18 Birdies app this time and it worked great and I hit 12 greens and was quite often dead pin-high.

Fun course. Great greens. Pace is grim. 6+ hours on a Saturday. Started at 2:10 and may not finish.

Had a great day at Skylinks today, course is in good condition, from tee to green all good, sand still out of play due to Covid, just no rakes, one thing that I wish they would fix, is the Navigation System on the carts, they are at least 10 to 15 yards off, when you count on the yardage off the carts it can cost you some strokes, bring range finder if you have, will return always fun !!! Always a good time and would recommend this course..

Course is challenging with mounded fairway bunkers. Only complaint is PUT MORE SAND IN GREEN SIDE BUNKERS! 1/2” of sand with clay underneath.
