Wilson at Griffith Park Golf Courses

Last time I played Wilson (maybe in 2012 or so) , I walked off from the 11th tee after taking 3 hours to play 10 and three groups stacked on the par 3. Today, teeing off at 9:55 (on a Sunday) we finished 18 in 4:21. It was awesome. The course is very green in September. Previously, the course was an obstacle course of gopher holes, today, very few issues. Fairways lovely. Greens surprisingly good. Bunkers groomed and good sand. Only real issue was some tee boxes.

Keep in mind - it is a muni and gets massive number of rounds played on it. It’s not a country club. But a classy muni? Yes.

Good fairways and greens. Some of the tee boxes and areas of rough were poor to terrible especially short and right of the 5th green on Wilson. A good value overall.

I've golfed Wilson and Harding Hundreds of times but this round will definitely have me thinking TWICE about it because I know I'm not going to complete 18 holes but I was waiting forever on each tee box after I played the first hole and the course conditions were as rough as I've ever seen it and the greens had too many unrepaired Ball Mark's . I felt like a greens keeper because I had soo much time to repair my own and other people ball Mark's that hadn't been fixed for Day's besides that day . Bottom line I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone unless you feel like repairing the greens ALL DAY. It was soo SAD to see an Iconic golf course in such Bad golfing shape.

I played this course for the first time a couple days ago and let me tell you this course is extremely well kept. The greens were perfect! Not too fast, not too slow. I definitely recommend driving a cart and not just because its a huge course but also because they have a gps and Bluetooth speakers! Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience and highly recommend playing here.

I try to play once a week after work during the summer.

Perfect weather most of the time.

Condition of the course is great as well.

First time here at Wilson. Located within Griffith Park, the course sits adjacent to the local parks, hiking trails, and locals and tourists walking and driving along the road right next to many of the holes.

The course blends itself with Griffith Park, and I really enjoyed playing here. I may be bias because I am a local.

Plenty of trees, not too long off the tee, not too undulation. Overall a solid and enjoyable course.

Downside: Hard to book a tee time..
