Nice course: fairly open and forgiving, but beautiful layout amongst the vines.

Great course. Some tough holes. Love the layout

Need Starter and Marshall actually working in the afternoon. Waited on every shot. 5 hour round. Either tee times to close or there was a group a few holes ahead backing everyone up playing the US Open

Our threesome got out just before a tournament. Had a twosome in front of us walking. They were painfully slow. By 14 it looked like they were laboring. We discovered that didn’t matter. As it turned out, we weren’t going anywhere even if they let us play through. The foursome of walkers in front of them were 3 holes behind! When we called the pro shop, we were told that no Marshalls were on the course Sundays. 5 1/2 hour round.

I had a 2:24 tee time. I wish the cafe or restaurant or bar would stay open so afternoon tee time player could get a drink. I doesn’t make sense to book late tee times and close refreshments before rounds end.

For the most part, the course is in excellent shape. Very disappointed the food and beverage area was closed when we finished playing around 6 pm. Two workers ( I assumed they were workers) were in the restaurant drinking something with the doors locked.

Pros:

Nice course away from the freeway

Good condition

Interesting holes

Nice views

Cons:

5 1/2 hour round on Sunday. Tee'd off at 11 am.

No Marshall.

Saw beverage cart once and she was out of food.

Slow greens.

Lack of veggie options in grill.

Come on, Chardonnay! Do better. You're blowing it.

I’m 61 and can still hit it pretty good. Another guy in his late 40s could punch it too. A older Asian couple in our group. Very nice and friendly. He could barely hit 150 yards off the tee. She was pretty good but not very far off the tee either. There was a foursome of twenty something guys in front of us. We WAITED FOR THEM ON EVERY HOLE after the first par 3. The entire rest of the round. I called the pro shop to get the Marshall out to get them moving along. Nothing happened. Very disappointing!

Golf should not take 5+ hours. No Marshall, no starter, groups playing wrong tees

Now the good. Fair challenging course. Great shape. Neat lay out with 6 par 3,4,5’s. Scenic with no houses.

Greens coming back nice, look like they were punched a few weeks ago. Nice contours, a few tough pins. If lived closer would play every week. Hopefully they can address slow play.

Started off great for a Monday, fierce wind form the west, blowing funky garbage dump fragrance, then backed up on the back nine, inexplicably. Sandy greens, but warned in advance.

Love the course but they should be upfront about punched screens. It’s an absolutely beautiful course, great layout and in good condition but I was never told that the greens were punched. Just not fair to not have the option to wait and play another day when the greens are healed

Usually when a course is doing work like Aerification they alert Golf Now & the price reflects it. Not the case with this visit to Chardonnay. Nor was it mentioned at the Pro Shop on check in.

Oh, and apparently they close their range every Tuesday. So not too great of customer service there Chardonnay!

This time we played the greens were punched and sanded. On GolfNow, they didn't mention that the course was going to be in sub-standard condition.

I took my good friend Carlos out here for his birthday. We drove 1 hour to get here. When I booked the tee time I was not notified that they were sanding and punching the greens. There was so much sand on the greens it was ridiculous. I understand that this must be done twice a year, but next time golfnow should let me know!! Fairways were in great shape. The round was about 5 hours. This was on a Monday.
