About
Sitting at the gateway to the renowned Napa Valley wine district, Chardonnay Golf Club meanders through acres of lush Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards dotted with sparkling lakes and wandering creeks. Native flora and fauna cover the golf course, which also provides a home for an abundance of wildlife including hawks, foxes, bobcats, and even the occasional golden eagle. Besides the spectacular setting, the layout provides one of the most challenging rounds in the area. The rolling landscape provides interesting elevation changes and there are plenty of mature trees coming into play. Several holes also feature water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Chardonnay Golf Club's greens are lightning fast and the course plays long. One of the most memorable holes, both for the scenery and level of difficulty is the par-3 eighth. This hole is framed by stunning views of the Valley and it requires some clever shotmaking skills.

what happened
The traps were completely untended. They were rock hard without any sand.
Some of the fairways had major bare spots, for example: holes #4, #7, #9, #15, #17.
Love the course
Love the course. It is a great layout with challenging holes and entertaining greens.
It’s OK
Not much to say, it’s just OK. Course is in adequate shape, a few punched greens (that sucked). Rough was in bad shape and fairways were so so, for the price, it was less than desired.
Beautiful Course
Great course with nice views and challenging holes. Staff was very nice and helpful. Would reccomend this course to play.
No sand in the traps. I’ve played there several times and it was in much better shape. Going downhill. Need a Marshall to move slow play along. Very frustrating waiting on every shot and watching the people in front wandering around and in no hurry. 2:40 minutes to play 9 so I bailed out and went home.
Greens are Good, Bunkers are HORRIBLE!
The greens are in great shape, considering the amount of public play, and they are trying to revive the fairways. However, the bunkers are simply concrete. It does motivate one to stay out of the bunkers. However, they are badly in need of new sand. Either that, or they should just add grass seed and do away with bunkers altogether. They are truly the worst bunkers in Northern Cali.
Long and hard
Long, greens smooth, but all the sand traps needs dry enough sand addition too thin and wet.
Bunkers
Really should think about making them all grass bunkers.
Unless someone decides to take care of them.
Slow play with no water or cart setvice
Back 9 was very slow and water containers were empty. No beer and snack cart?
Horrible
3 hours for 9 holes...quit after the turn. Will never play again... fairways dead...tee boxes had long grass. Really expensive for how bad the course was. Bunkers were extremely hard...no sand. I thought this course was suppose to be nice. Extremely disappointed.
Great Course
Had it not been for the slow pace of play, it would have been a near perfect outing. The course was in great shape and the nice weather negated the imperfections, if any. The layout and difficulty is an ideal match to my ability.
