About
Sitting at the gateway to the renowned Napa Valley wine district, Chardonnay Golf Club meanders through acres of lush Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards dotted with sparkling lakes and wandering creeks. Native flora and fauna cover the golf course, which also provides a home for an abundance of wildlife including hawks, foxes, bobcats, and even the occasional golden eagle. Besides the spectacular setting, the layout provides one of the most challenging rounds in the area. The rolling landscape provides interesting elevation changes and there are plenty of mature trees coming into play. Several holes also feature water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Chardonnay Golf Club's greens are lightning fast and the course plays long. One of the most memorable holes, both for the scenery and level of difficulty is the par-3 eighth. This hole is framed by stunning views of the Valley and it requires some clever shotmaking skills.

Lovely course
This course has amazing views, wonderful and interesting layout , overall a fun course, play can be very slow during peak times!!
Very similar to it's neighbor, Eagle Vines
If you like 5 hour rounds, poorly maintained tee boxes, bunkers without any sand and burnt out fairways, you'll love Chardonnay. We were constantly bumping our balls in the fairway to find some grass and there's no adequate sand in any of the bunkers! Tee boxes were pretty rough as well.
The only difference between Chardonnay and Eagle Vines is that at least Chardonnay had beverage service on the course. Very little service at the pro shop or post round. We didn't try the restaurant.

I have played this course few times. Like the course but
pace is slow, it took almost 5 hrs,
Abandoned course in wine country
It’s as though the course has been abandoned. I’ve played it several times and have never seen it look so awful. The course is in really bad shape. Greens are OK but everything else is sad. On top of that there was no beverage cart and the call box phone on 9 definitely hasn’t worked in a decade.
Where are the Marshals?!!!!!!
Played the course yesterday on a late Friday morning. Took close to 3 hours to get 9 holes in. Had to skip over groups and totally miss 3 holes just to finish and the round still ended up being 5 hours. You had a few fivesomes on the course, people standing and riding on the back of golf carts. One group blasting their boombox out on the course that you could hear 1 or 2 holes away. I’m not against playing your music while you play but that is “YOUR” music where only you and your group should be entertained. It was a nice day to be out on the links and the course was in pretty good shape but my God people just pretty much do whatever they like out here. Where are the Marshals?!!!!! The pace of play was So Painful which makes it hard for you to ever get into a rhythm. If I had been driving my own cart I would’ve just walked off the course and gone home. Overall not a good experience.

greens were good. sand traps terrible...no sand ...
fairways OK... but anything just off fairway...was hardpan and too dry.
Beautiful day
Weather and views were perfect. Some dry areas around fairways but we are in a drought. Fairways and greens excellent. 5 1/2 hour play was tiring. Fun day with family foursome and leftovers from lunch.
