About

Sitting at the gateway to the renowned Napa Valley wine district, Chardonnay Golf Club meanders through acres of lush Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards dotted with sparkling lakes and wandering creeks. Native flora and fauna cover the golf course, which also provides a home for an abundance of wildlife including hawks, foxes, bobcats, and even the occasional golden eagle. Besides the spectacular setting, the layout provides one of the most challenging rounds in the area. The rolling landscape provides interesting elevation changes and there are plenty of mature trees coming into play. Several holes also feature water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Chardonnay Golf Club's greens are lightning fast and the course plays long. One of the most memorable holes, both for the scenery and level of difficulty is the par-3 eighth. This hole is framed by stunning views of the Valley and it requires some clever shotmaking skills.

Beautiful day

Weather and views were perfect. Some dry areas around fairways but we are in a drought. Fairways and greens excellent. 5 1/2 hour play was tiring. Fun day with family foursome and leftovers from lunch.

Nice course. Well groomed

This is a challenging course to play and to walk. A few of the holes are deceptively challenging. Bunkers are well placed and frustrating enough to cause me to sigh. The beverage cart is always there as well. Great day.

Nice Wednesday Golf

It was a beautiful morning at Chardonnay, light breeze, sunny skies. It did warm up and we decided to head in to the lounge after the 14th hole. The beer was delicious and nice and cold.

Lovely golf course but the traps and cart paths need a lot of attention, both very bad.

we were 4 minutes late for our 12 noon tee time. The person in the pro shop would not let us out. He said there was a tournament. We called and told them we took a wrong turnoff and would be a few minutes late. He said if we are late he won't be able to get us out there.We had to wait 1 and 1/2 hours to get out there. I was disappointed in their strictness It was a beautiful day so we decided to wait.

Don't follow a Tournament

Played 6/14/21 But followed a Tournament and the pace was 20 Minutes a shot as people were looking for their balls in the Vineyards. Nice course but it can be slow.
