Sitting at the gateway to the renowned Napa Valley wine district, Chardonnay Golf Club meanders through acres of lush Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards dotted with sparkling lakes and wandering creeks. Native flora and fauna cover the golf course, which also provides a home for an abundance of wildlife including hawks, foxes, bobcats, and even the occasional golden eagle. Besides the spectacular setting, the layout provides one of the most challenging rounds in the area. The rolling landscape provides interesting elevation changes and there are plenty of mature trees coming into play. Several holes also feature water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Chardonnay Golf Club's greens are lightning fast and the course plays long. One of the most memorable holes, both for the scenery and level of difficulty is the par-3 eighth. This hole is framed by stunning views of the Valley and it requires some clever shotmaking skills.

Beautiful Course

I played with my son - who just started playing golf with me three weeks ago; this was our first 18 hole round. We made it 17 (darkness) because the play in front of us was rather slow. Of course this can happen anywhere.

However, we really enjoyed the layout of the course - full of vineyards and hills; beautiful views; a lot of margin for error for beginning golf offers ; wide open fairways; large greens. We’ve played 4 courses together thus far and this was by far our favorite. We will definitely be back.

Golf in the wine country

Nice layout. Some easy, some hard holes. Large greens have lots of slope. Par 5 7th was a 20m wait. Folks can't quite figure out how to manage the ravine in front of the green. Quick pace till then, with wait on each hole thereafter. Save for the 5hr round, great bargain.

Great day at the course. Clean air!!

The fairways and the greens are looking pretty good. Actually, the greens are in great shape, and the fairways are in a better state than many of the other golf courses close by.

Pace of play was great.

It would be nice if you’d re-open the snack bar between 9 and 10.
