Chardonnay Golf Club

First time this year at one of my favorite course.

This is a nice course. Some challenging holes. Six par threes and six par fives make for a different day of golf when compared to the normal course. I will be a regular when we are in the Napa Valley. My only criticism is that the course is pretty wet in areas early in the morning (I played before 7). The views are pretty cool with vineyards surrounding the fairways. Looking forward to playing during the harvest season.

Slowish pace of play - stuck behind some people who took their putting way too seriously!

The course is in good condition overall, but the fairways are showing signs of drying out - big brown areas.

The course was in great shape except for the sand traps.

Hard to be for the combination of beauty, weather, course condition etc. great value

Great course looks like they have a water shortage problem. Things are getting run down,however layout is great!

The course is well maintained and beautiful vineyards. The course layout can be difficult, and lots of hills. If you planned to walk, it is a hike up hill and down hill multiple by a few. The direction to each hole maybe confusing. It is more than satisfying overall.

We Tee’d off early, about 7am mid-June in cool, overcast conditions. Nice wide open practice areas. Greens were very good, consistent all day. Walkable course although I needed a few lifts from green to T. The food in the grill is outstanding. I’ll play there again!

I really enjoyed this course. There are 6 par 3’s and 6 par 5’s, so it had a different feel. Lots of different looks and elevation drops. Very enjoyable round.

Having played the course before since the COVID-19 reopening, it was great to see the pins in the holes as they used to be and the ball wash available. The course was in great condition as always.

Challenging course amidst beautiful blooming vineyards. I enjoyed our round despite waiting for our golf cart upon arrival.

Chardonnay is in great shape - hard pressed to find a nicer experience in the middle of vineyards!

I don’t think I’ve ever before written a review while still on the course. But, Chardonnay is going to be an exception. I write now while waiting 20 minutes to hit my tee shot on 5. I teed off 30 minutes after my scheduled time because of a lack of golf carts. The course doesn’t seem to be taking COVID seriously; while other courses removed ball washers and adapted their pins so the ball wouldn’t fall, Chardonnay has done neither. In fact, the kid in the golf shop wasn’t even wearing a mask.

As for the course itself, it’s in rough shape. Sand traps are dried out and it’s like hitting off hard pan. Fairways are patchy. Greens are pretty true so far.

I played Pasatiempo yesterday so maybe my review is harsh because the other course is so good, but a few holes in and I’m quite disappointed here for a multitude of reasons.

Had a tee time of 12:27. Arrived at 12:00 and found out there were no carts available. The people behind the counter were not very helpful and knew very little about the situation and the cart availability. .We had to wait over an hour for carts. We played all 18 holes and did not leave the course until 6:00. So the total time was 6 hours. This is way too long. We have played other courses around the Napa area and have not had trouble like this at any other course. Very disappointing.

6 1/2 HR Round. Our Tee time was 11:39am did not get back to our car until 6:41pm. Per Pro shop they were running 10-15 mins delay. It was very hot mid 90's. Cannot do anything about the temperature slight breeze help a lot.

Course was in great shape. Staff kept everything moving. Only complaint ,would have been nice to have flagsticks to see pin location. Other courses have flagsticks that no one removes which is better.

Love this course and it's sister course eagle vines. Nice challenge. Greens were in great shape. Played after a run but drained well. Playing here again soon.
