About
Sitting at the gateway to the renowned Napa Valley wine district, Chardonnay Golf Club meanders through acres of lush Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards dotted with sparkling lakes and wandering creeks. Native flora and fauna cover the golf course, which also provides a home for an abundance of wildlife including hawks, foxes, bobcats, and even the occasional golden eagle. Besides the spectacular setting, the layout provides one of the most challenging rounds in the area. The rolling landscape provides interesting elevation changes and there are plenty of mature trees coming into play. Several holes also feature water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Chardonnay Golf Club's greens are lightning fast and the course plays long. One of the most memorable holes, both for the scenery and level of difficulty is the par-3 eighth. This hole is framed by stunning views of the Valley and it requires some clever shotmaking skills.

Golfer Reviews
Very nice and beautiful course
This place is usually too expensive for me but with the Hot Deals , I tried it and loved it. Please keep offering Hot Deals.
Great Course- Need Better Pace of Play
Everything about the round we played was awesome except for the fact that it took 5.5 hours to play. The front 9 was 3 hours. A ranger did come several times, told us first there was a tournament, then that there was a slow group that had just been told to skip a hole. I never understand why courses think it's ok to allow slow play just because there is a tournament. That is not a valid excuse. They should be marshaled along at a reasonable pace just like everyone else.
Greens are rolling
Great time to be golfing In Napa great course and the condition are great especially the greens and fairways are great
Winter Special
Enjoyable round in early afternoon on a very windy day. We carried and finished in 4:10. Course in nice condition; firm greens still held well-struck balls. Putting at the mercy of the wind. Brilliant mustard in the surrounding vineyards provided beautiful backdrop. Nice to see rakes in bunkers again.
Got greens !
The course is in excellent condition now and the beautiful mustards flowers add to the beauty of the winery the greens are in great shape and the fairways as well
Great job guys!
Crazy start
Great course. Very good time but they need a starter because no one knew what was going on
Started as a threesome behind a twosome behind sic students and a coach. Then things got crazy. Another guy joined us making us 4. He was a member who seemed mad at everyone. He played a few holes then quit. The 2 ladies I was playing with and the 2 in front of us jumped the 6 that where slowing things down, which left me a single. Eventually I got bay up to the 4 I with making us 5. But still had to wait on groups of 2, and 3sums on the back 9 Very slow round. Get a marshall. It was out of control Great course
Good course, way too slow!!
Course is great however way too over packed. Have played on a few occasions never under 5hrs. No weekday Marshall and way too many tee times per hour. Would recommend if your an early riser however don’t expect to squeeze 18 at twilight here
Great course
Tough greens, windy conditions, great course, but super slow pace
Slowest round of golf in the Bay
Chardonnay Golf Club is usually a great place to enjoy a round of golf. During a Saturday round we were not only late to start our tee time but were unable to finish 18 holes. It took 3 hours to play 9 holes and with no staff on-site after 5pm to call in slow play or carts that have died. A truly disappointing round of golf at a course that had been fun to play in the past.
Good experience
The golf carts are newer. Tea box's and fairways are in great shape. I guess since it's not heavily tree populated the sun germinates seed well. The sand traps are about average. The greens are quite firm and don't hold well which is unusual in February. The course is very spread out. Sometimes a long minute driving between holes. Although it didn't feel like it our round took 5.25 hours. We had to wait a minute on about half our shots.. That's @ an hour longer than usual on Sacramento and Roseville courses. They shouldn't allow walking since there's a couple hundred yards or more between most holes. Overall a nice layout with lush fairways. Worth the 60 mile drive as far as I'm concerned.
Chardonnay on a Windy day
This course is always a challenge for me (I am a new golfer), but today even more so. Today was sunny, yet super windy... I probably lost a dozen balls today. I skipped around the course, because people were in groups of 4 or 5 and moving slowly. I skipped about 3 holes. Overall, I enjoyed myself and will come back in the spring on a nice day when I am a better golfer.
