Chardonnay Golf Club
About
Sitting at the gateway to the renowned Napa Valley wine district, Chardonnay Golf Club meanders through acres of lush Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards dotted with sparkling lakes and wandering creeks. Native flora and fauna cover the golf course, which also provides a home for an abundance of wildlife including hawks, foxes, bobcats, and even the occasional golden eagle. Besides the spectacular setting, the layout provides one of the most challenging rounds in the area. The rolling landscape provides interesting elevation changes and there are plenty of mature trees coming into play. Several holes also feature water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Chardonnay Golf Club's greens are lightning fast and the course plays long. One of the most memorable holes, both for the scenery and level of difficulty is the par-3 eighth. This hole is framed by stunning views of the Valley and it requires some clever shotmaking skills.

A Must Play Golf Adventure
A Great Place to Play , It's Fun , Challenging and has some Great Par 3's that you can't wait to play again. very enjoyable Golf Experience. But don't Forget to Stop and take in The Beautiful Scenery , The Rolling Hills covered with vineyard's , the wild life , It's more than just Golf , It's Great THERAPY
They are the only Golf Course around that I know, That Gives a Discount to Military, Police and Fire
Being a Army Veteran I really appreciate it.
Nice Bar Restaurant, & friendly staff.
great weather for winter play
Two days after rain the course was back to 90 degree rule for carts. Rain amounts here were less than some other areas so the course dried out fairly quickly.
Fairways are in great condition. Thought greens but lots of fun.
Very poor green condition
I play many times throughout last 20+ years here. We haven’t been here in the last 7 months or so.
Four of us came to play here on January 6th, 2018 Saturday. OMG. Greens are in very poor condition. Very slow, putt would not break properly they have not been mowed nor pressed for two days or more Maybe due to the weather and rain we had the night before but it was sunny and warm that weekend.
Very disappointed. Would not come back here at least for quite some time. Eagle Vines would be my other alternative in this area with much better conditions for about the same price.
We played Chardonnay at noon as a foursome and
finished in about 4 hours.
The course is in good condition, green rolled and
fast. Views of surrounding hills, vineyards and
lots of wildlife.
The course is challenging with sand, trees and
different levels of play.
I would recommend it highly. If not right away, add
this one to your bucket list.
Great course
Course was a unexpected delight. Fantastic shape, greens were excellent had a great day. I usually play Rooster Run ( cow pasture ) hands down Chardonnay was worth the extra 30 minute drive.
A Great Experience
This course is great and the scenery exceptional. No homes, no traffic noise and some very creative and nasty greens. Feel of a country club. Will be back a lot, maybe as a member.
glacial
got behind a fivesome and no marshall in sight. I dont want to spend all day on the freaking course. 5:20 is too long.
We played Chardonnay as a twosome at noon
and played in less than 4 hours.
Greens and fairways were in good condition, well
layed out with mature trees. Good views of
surrounding hills and vineyards.
Highly recommend.
Only two on the course!!
Great course - was supposed to rain like crazy that day so we were prepared with rain gear and warm clothes.
Rain didn't happen so we had the entire course to ourselves. We were the only 2 playing!
Epic course and great greens and nice fairways too! Challenging but really nice course.
I would certainly play there again - though I doubt I will ever experience a totally empty course like we did that day!
Rolling hillside surrounded by vineyards, with
views of surrounding hills, great setting.
We played at 12:00 as a twosome and the
pace was about 4 hours. Greens and fairways
in good condition, few bare spots.
Overall, a great outing.
Great experience liked it a lot, funky and quirky course.
Go and check it out yourself
Keeping Chardonnay
Played here many times before and its been a few years. Course is exactly as I remembered, well conditioned tee boxes and greens, fairways good, sand good...views of vineyard endless. Love the Greens size and undulations on all par five and four, Par three, six of them, all unique; all fabulous. Love #3, the Valley of Zin. Love how hard #12, the Shoot, can be. Can really spoil a good score into that one. From back tees #12 is a monster.
Overall, one of the best pure golf rounds one can ever have with these conditions. Not overly difficult unless windy. You will use every club in your bag out here. Love that fact about this course. Lots of ways to approach greens, from the air or using slopes. I used to think they gave up the best of the course when they re- did it. Now, after coming back after many years, I can see the course for what it is and I appreciate it. I do miss many of the old Vineyards and Chardonnay holes that were replaced by vineyards, and not necessarily the ones over on the "other course," which one can play and see them for what they were. The other ones that are gone were unique and fun, and the layouts were awesome. Oh well. Still a worthy track and a cant miss good time.
