Chardonnay Golf Club
About
Sitting at the gateway to the renowned Napa Valley wine district, Chardonnay Golf Club meanders through acres of lush Chardonnay and Merlot vineyards dotted with sparkling lakes and wandering creeks. Native flora and fauna cover the golf course, which also provides a home for an abundance of wildlife including hawks, foxes, bobcats, and even the occasional golden eagle. Besides the spectacular setting, the layout provides one of the most challenging rounds in the area. The rolling landscape provides interesting elevation changes and there are plenty of mature trees coming into play. Several holes also feature water hazards and strategically placed bunkers. Chardonnay Golf Club's greens are lightning fast and the course plays long. One of the most memorable holes, both for the scenery and level of difficulty is the par-3 eighth. This hole is framed by stunning views of the Valley and it requires some clever shotmaking skills.

Elevated tee, what a view. If you turn around and use a spotting scope, you can see the top of one tower of the Golden Gate bridge Photo submitted by Titaniumhen on 12/21/2020

Great greens, super staff.
Greens were extraordinarily good...but wicked! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. This is a really nice course worth putting on your agenda when in the Napa area.
Napa Valley Gem
This course was in fantastic shape with a great layout. Best value in Napa Valley!
Great location and scenery
I love playing golf at Chardonney. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful and ez to get to. Keep it going. Thank you, Dale
Time of play was long . Two of the players hit from the Black Tees and should not have been on those tees.
Great course. Will be playing it again on Monday the 11th of Feb. with the SIRS
This course is in beautiful setting especially in summer and fall, elevation changes a couple 3 teir greens.
Odd driving range layout but really nice place to play, definetly going back a few times.
Going Deep!
If you like hitting the long ball then this is your course!!
6 par 5's , 6 par 4's and 6 par 3's. even though there are 6 par 3's they are still fun and challenging .
I love the the rest of the course........super enjoyable lots a fun!
ps and the ladies get a good break from the yellow tees!!
This course has excellent maintenance....
Excellent. Greens are PGA rating! You better try it. But you better expect little bit of funny layout like 3 par 3s and 3 par 5s and 3 par 4s in front and back nines. Except that everything is great.
Fantastic course..not too far from the city.
Great course in Napa..surrounded by vineyards..great scenery and a different and enjoyable golf experience..highly recommend.
May be slow at times..
Great winter condition, fantastic staff, great meal
Great day of golf ! After arriving, staff offered to move us to the first tee time (in front of a three foursomes in a group), since there were three of us. We took it. Course was in great shape, greens were smooth and fast. No mud or drainage issues. On course beverages. At lunch (salmon) which was fantastic in the View Bar and Grill overlooking course. It was so good, we asked if there were openings, we got in and played until sundown ! almost 36 holes. Great day !
This is a great course, especially if your can get a deal on Golfnow.
This course has a little of everything, elevation changes, dog-legs, water and great views of the surrounding hill sides and the vineyards that frame the fairways . The fair ways are fair and the greens are large and well maintained. There are several tees for all levels. After you play here for the 1st time, you'll want to come back.
Very good course
Very contoured greens with challenging pin placements to different tiers or even doglegs on greens up to 60 YARDS wide. Fairways trimmed beautifully.. Bunkers well kept. Gorgeous views. A putting green that's puttable. Practice bunkers and large long range. Uncrowded conditions most days.
its great enjoyable golf course always good greens
I always enjoy playing chardonnay gc regarless its foggy soggy 7 am winter tee time or 3 pm mid summer tee time I always have a great time playing this course...
Single that grouped up with a member
Booked a single for 7:57 am tee time. I ended up grouping up with a member and starting on back nine first. Experience was awesome with having the local knowledge of the course to help me guide through some of the more challenging holes. Bernie gave me tips on greens and even some info on how Chardonnay used to be a 27 that was coverted to an 18 hole course. Greens were challenging and for the most part the course was dry.
I actually think this is a "must do" on the list.
I have to say that I am a 13 capper and my son is a 6. Ths course kicked both our butts from the "double magnum" tees (3 away from the tips I thik). I honestly think that we should have played 1 back from the forward tees to really enjoy it.
Super beautiful surroundings and in good condition. Greens were fast that day. Couln't get to practice as the range was closed for some reason, so we were tight from traveling and cold (fog). Still a very good experience and we will definitely be back for revenge.
always a fun course to play
Got a great rate; can't beat this course for $40; beautiful drive out there and course was in top of the line shape
the course was in good condition even with the rain
I played this course in the middle of 3 storms. only one of the greens had standing water. All the other greens rolled true. with the amount of rain we have had, this course was in good condition.
This course has great features and feel different.
I like this course than feel like your in winery.
I want play again ASAP.
Wide open and fun
Each year my youngest son and I take advantage of the Thanksgiving Holiday with 18 holes. Last year we played in Southern California, this year it was Northern California’s turn to challenge us. We choose the Chardonnay Golf Club because I hate playing around houses, I’m a 14 handicap. The course is better in person than any picture on the internet. We had a 7:57am tee time, so we arrived at 7:00am to hit a few buckets and warm up a bit. The driving range was a bit small compared to a few others I have practiced on, so my boy and I shared a spot. It is nice being able to hit off the grass to warm up, as opposed to a mat. We went off right on time and lucky for us we were paired up with a local guy who happen to show up as a single. His course knowledge helped us both to play a great round. From the tee box, to the fairways, to the green the course was in excellent condition. Not a lot roll in the fairways, but the green were rolling true and fast, even with the morning dew sitting on them. Just as the reviews had mentioned it took all of five hours to play. We had a few groups in front of us that seemed to be playing a bit slow, but it all made since at the end of the round when I saw these same groups making the exchange of money in the club house. If you’re ever in the Napa area, I strongly recommend you play this course at least once. It is a bit of a challenge for a 14 handicap hitting off the green tees, but it is worth the money and the people that work in the pro shop and the restaurant are super friendly.
great layout through the vineyards...
great variety of holes...6 par 5's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 3's...
Lot's of Variety
This course has alot to offer. Definitely upscale from the usual public course fare. Very well Maintained. Interesting layout with 6 par 4's, 6 par 3's and six par 5's. Some very challenging holes for the 220- 250 yard driver. Lot's of fun
