The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge

Only negative this time were that several greens had some patchy growth that made for bumpy and inconsistent roll

It was hot and muggy so this may have caused the condition of the greens to be more inconsistent.

Course was great however, the greens are not being taken care of by other players. I fixed dozens of ball marks on the greens that others didn't.

This course exceeded my expectations. I was very pleased with the quality of the fairways and greens, it played like a resort course. There is quite a bit of elevation change, and the holes are designed to provide unique challenges. The greens were rolling very pure and the bunkers were well maintained. I enjoyed every bit of the round including the pro shop staff and range. I would gladly go back for another round.

This was my first time playing this course, I was visiting from Florida. First impressions with the bag boy and the pro working the desk inside was OK, definitely not a smiley crew. And have some darn coffee available for the dawn patrol folks like myself! And when I ask the pro he said, "they might be in around 8 to make it". So bring your own. I was the first one out on a Sunday morning and I was done in 2:20. It's a rather long course so save yourself some shots and play the proper tees. The tees and fairways were in pretty good shape but the greens had lots unattended ball marks in them. I would play it again, but wouldn't rush to return there until I played a few more courses in the area.

Really nice design/layout, but greens very poor condition. Shag carpet on some and bare on others. Back nine scenic shame the greens are so poor.

I'm very picky and I even drive and hour and 15 to get to this course. It's worth it. Like it as well as Heritage in Wake Forest and NC State course. It's a gotta play Course! I've got friends coming in town from South Florida and it's he first Course we're playing!

Course is somewhat up and down but has generous fairways and greens were in great condition and challenging.

Only slight negative was that some tee boxes were a little stressed out maybe due to the hot weather conditions.

Really like this course and plan on playing it again soon.

Good course layout and undulations, slow to mid pace greens, super soft green.

Nice day to play this course. Pretty crowded but pace was not bad.

Greens were quite true and fairly fast. A little beat up from the preceding traffic.

Layout was golfer friendly and maintenance was reasonable.

I really love Chapel Ridge and the greens and fairways are in great shape. The course is long and challenging but not as difficult as the sister course 'The Preserve'. Overall Chapel Ridge is one of my favorite courses in the area especially with the bent greens which roll fast and hold balls but the bunkers are in need of sand. Looks like the recent rain have washed them out and many of the bunkers are light on sand and have a lot of crevices in the tips of them. Anyways fix that and the course is top notch.

Great value. Very nice layout. I look forward to playing it again.

We had a great time. The staff was very friendly. The ladies at the bar was nice. I had been looking at this course for sometime now and decided it was time to play it. Boy, was I amazed & got to play for almost nothing. The lay out was so beautiful. Nice fairways, uphill shots, & fast greens makes it challenging playing here for the first time. We played it let in the evening & thought that we could zip on through. One of my playing partners had to return to the car because he had forgotten something & a guy & his little girl got in front of us. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I wished he had let us go through. But he was spending time with his daughter, teaching her the game. We finished just before it got dark. Overall, had a blast. Thumbs up to CHAPEL RIDGE GOLF COURSE. A must play course.
