#17 I think this should be the signature hole. Enough balls in the lake to make it look like an Easter Basket. Lol Photo submitted by Geno7176732 on 09/27/2016

Wonderful course
Busiest I've seen the course, and it was a 4 3/4 hr round (which we literally finished in the dark) but I love the layout and the fast bentgrass greens.
I wish they had had a ranger on duty to help the pace of play, but we saw one early in the round and then never again.
Anywho...we'll be back and it's a tremendous bang for the buck(s).
Good fun course!
The course is in very good condition. Greens are good, staff is friendly and pace of play was good. Actually have marshalls out trying to push people around which was nice to see. If you are looking for a fun yet challenging course, this is it and very well priced.
Worth The Drive
Have lived in Chapel Hill for a while, but had never made the trip out here. Definitely worth the drive... great layout. As someone who struggles to hit the drive accurately I found the rather large landing zones on most of the par 4's very inviting. However, fairway side bunkers and hilly putting surfaces made for a challenging round.
Chapel Ridge
Course was nice as always, The only draw back were the greens were not in good shape, But like a lot of courses in this area the summer has been hard on the greens this year.
When can I GO Back???
Was met by "CT" and greeted charmingly and friendly. This is truly one of the best kept secrets in the area. I don"t want to tell anyone, but I will. Didn't have a bad lie all day. Played from the GOLDS. I used my Golf Now Birthday 25% discount Gift to gain access to this wonderful facility. Looking forward to going back in the peak of fall. Taking my camera.
Thank you for the wonderful day.
Always a pleasure to play
Always a treat. The greens are good but not perfect, so that is my only criticism. I will be back.
Review
Great course in great condition. Friendly staff and good food as well. Had a great day!
Great round
Very scenic track. Greens struggling in few spots with some crab grass invaders, but held beautifully.
Greens are the issue
Played here for the second time this year and now the greens are going south as another reviewer stated. Staff is friendly just wish they would have told me about the greens when I booked the tee time. All the greens have an invasive grass coming through. Good luck getting a putt to roll true through the speed bumps. It is too bad because the rest of the course was in great shape. I like this course but will not be back until they get the greens fixed. For ten dollars less the day before I played perfect greens in Aberdeen.
If only the greens were as nice as the rest of the course...
I've played this course many times and it's usually in great shape! Once again, the course was in great shape during our round, but the greens were very soft and full of ball marks. Also some other type of grass is starting to grow-in on parts of the green, making putts not roll true. Fairways, bunkers and rough are all in great shape.
green going south
This has always been a great course - great layout excellent greens. But for some reason the greens are getting very poor with weeds growing into them. It was always worth the extra 15 minute drive but not any more until they resolve that issue. It really impacts the players ability to get up and donw if they miss the green. The expectations has always been the green here would be excellent so a bit of let down.
Good test
Always enjoy this course. Greens were punched about 2 1/2 weeks ago I'd guess but basically healed now as aeration holes didn't impact play at all. Greens are seeing some infiltration of crabgrass in spots and as you would expect the summer has taken a toll on them but again didn't really impact play. Rough has no such problem. Very sticky and if ball settles down just take the stroke and punch it down the fairway. Fairways are basically perfect. Def worth the $29!
Wow what a layout
Everthing about this course was amazing with a couple of issues. Greens were very very soft and bumpy, lots of unfixed ball marks. Was a bit wet and muddy and didnt see a single Ball washer on the course. Fairways and rough were excellent, site lines amazing. The staff was also fantastic, would love to play again with dryer greens.
Great course - golfnow needs to update info
Had a great time at Chapel Ridge - course layout is challenging, good mix of holes requiring distance and precision, and everything was in good shape. Pace of play was excellent - under 3 hours.
Only issue was that the course only had 9 holes open and those were aerated greens. Not a big deal - course maintenance has to happen - but booked through golfnow and they had nothing indicating that was the case. Pro shop attendant had clearly been getting a lot of grief from people not aware of that. A minor annoyance overall for a beautiful course that played fast.
A must play
I was just amazed at this course. I will be back to play this course. The layout and scenery was amazing had holes with rock walls in the front. The course plays longer than you think. Wouldn't recommend walking this course...lol. Don't worry Chapel Ridge I will be back to play.
Staff was outstanding
The day 's temperature was 97 with a heat index feel of 108. The staff had all the water stations filled with ice water and even had a ice station for towels to stay cool in the hot afternoon sun. The waitresses even put out cups of ice water at the turn. I always enjoy coming to this course. The holes are challenging but very fair.
Chapel Ridge on 7/17/16
Pace of play was fantastic. Tee'd off at 2:40pm with two other singles. We passed a group on the 4th hole and then didn't see anyone in front of us the rest of the way. Finished in under 4 hours. That being said....the greens were in terrible shape. Nearly every single green was full of un-repaired ball marks. I've played here several times in the past and this is definitely not the norm. Could be due to all the rain lately.
Worth The Drive!
I have played at Jordan Lake before as Chapel Ridge is a sister course. I read the reviews and was a bit leery but rolled the dice. For Father's day, the pace was a bit slower but that was to be expected,
The staff from the clubhouse, starter and cart attendants were excellent! Friendly, attentive and spot on. No complaints and praise is deserved.
The course was challenging in a good way and the weather could not have been better. There were a few rough spots but the heat was brutal the day of play.
Overall, the price, value and staff made our outing well worth our time.
Very warm day at Chapel Ridge
Played this afternoon (Sat 6-4) in the 90+ degree heat. First the positives: Greens in nice shape, tee boxes okay, starter moved throughout keeping the pace of play going smoothly. Negatives: Most bunkers in terrible shape, some areas around greens in rough condition, fairways bare and thin in many spots. Biggest negative: Only 1 cooler (near Hole 5 I believe) on the course had any water and no beverage cart was working. In this heat not supplying your patrons with water is inexcusable. Luckily I brought a bottle of water with me but was only able to refill it a few times. No cold water on a hot day makes for a long unpleasant afternoon.
Great Greens
I was very impressed with the greens at Chapel Ridge, especially with all the rain we had. The tee boxes were good, but some random pop up of weeds in the fairways. Very friendly staff, quick play, would definitely go back again.
