#17 I think this should be the signature hole. Enough balls in the lake to make it look like an Easter Basket. Lol Photo submitted by Geno7176732 on 09/27/2016

Chapel Ridge
Greens were in good shape. The areas around the greens and fairways were fair at best and need some work. They were very bare in some areas and particularly around the greens. The bunkers need new sand too.
Chapel Ridge
Course in good shape considering all of the recent rain. Was not crowded due to threat of rain but weather turned out great.
Fun course
Played here with my brother who was in from Seattle. I liked the layout and friendliness of the staff. As others have noted there were some burnt out spots around certain greens and bunkers. The plug marks from when the greens were aerated weeks before had not grown over just yet. By now they should be good. The course was straight forward and overall a good experience. Will be back to play here again in the future. Side note I am not sure if they allow you to walk this course but DO NOT if they do. It will be a long day.
2nd time playing - better condiitons
This was my second time playing this course in as many weeks - the first time occurred when the winds were howling at 30+ mph - one of my biggest golf peeves is playing in the wind, yet this course quickly squashed that peeve. Most recent outing there was on an overcast day and mid-70s, great pace of play, firm/fast greens (despite aeration 2-weeks ago)...nothing negative to say about the course and great value for a "local" round of golf. Its location is far enough from the Raleigh area to get away from the traffic and be where it's quiet and peaceful. In both rounds, I have shot an 82 (best rounds this year)...no complaints there. One note, if teeing off after 1 PM on a Saturday, don't expect the club-house to be open when you complete your round...in both instances, the only staff were the people cleaning/parking the golf carts.
Enjoyable golf
Chapel Ridge is recovering slowly but nicely from winter kill of 2015. Some fairways still need work, but this is a very enjoyable layout, greens are good, and the course is back to being very nice and a real good value.
Course Shape
Bunkers and areas around the greens need some attention. Most bunkers washed out due to resent rains, a lot of bear areas around the greens. Worst shape I've seen this course in, hope it doesn't last.
Nice course, enjoyable round
The course is very nice and picturesque layout. You need to manage your shots. Can't wait to play when it's greened up.
Early
Needs some time to grow back maybe played this a little early in the season will need to try it again as the club grows in more towards summer
Greens and fairways were disappointing
The greens were aerated, which made putting harder which I understand needs to be done time to time. My thought was a heads up on that before play would be nice. Play was slow and no ranger in sight The layout is fun and fair, and we will come back in time.
Greens had recently been aerated
I asked about aeration and was told it had been 3 weeks, however it seemed as though it was much more recent than that. I love the course but I don't love driving almost an hour to play on greens that are horrible.
Interesting and Fun Course
I consider this as the Preserve's "little brother." Very well kept course with similar amenities, but slightly shorter and easier. There are also lots of elevation changes and very interesting topography. There seem to be fewer houses right on the fairways compared to the Preserve and some other residential courses, making for more pleasant environs in my opinion.
Nice Greens at Chapel Ridge
Bent greens in great shape...Course playing a little longer because of the soft fairways. Really enjoyed it...pace of play for foursome was right at 4 hours ! Started at 11:20 on Sunday 12-6-15
Challenging and Enjoyable
Played this course for the 3rd time. Weather was nice, but it had been very rainy for several days prior and there unavoidable soggy spots. Course was in very good shape considering and the slopes and bunkers tested my game. Play was a little slow due to pairing in front being oblivious to those waiting on them, but not a real problem. A well-maintained and enjoyable course that has tremendous green fee bargains available.
A bit rough around the edges.
I have played this course numerous times. The bent grass greens were in good condition, and rolled smoothly. The collars of the greens however, were very rough. Tee boxes, and fairways were in fair to good condition. I love the course layout, and for a Hot Deal, it is worth the drive to get there. But I would not pay full price there. The staff I talked to were friendly. Can't comment of their food, as I only bought beer from them.
Great course, improved condition
While there were some logistics issues with the starter, it allowed me to start on 11 as a single and play the back nine without seeing a soul. Front was stacked up when I made the turn, but moved pretty well. After hearing how hard last winter hit this course, I was please to see most of the course in really good shape.
Fun time at Chaple Ridge
I played from the blue tees and was very tuff with the cool air. The bunkers were grabbing a lot of my shots. If I played from the whites I would have missed most of them or played in warmer weather. Overall it was an outstanding day and I will play this course again. It is a beautiful course and I like Fred Couples a lot.
Loved this course
A really fun course. Tee shots are fairly open and you don't get punished as much for leaky shots like The Preserve. Some neat holes, and just like most golf in the Piedmont, lots of elevation changes. Just enough challenge for a really fun round of golf. I played with my parents and we all had an awesome time. Now I will agree with some of the other reviews that the condition of the course wasn't excellent. Some areas of winter-kill and crabgrass. And some of the greens were pretty beat up and didn't exactly roll consistently. But honestly I didn't even mind, the beauty of the course and fun layout were enough for me. I will definitely be back.
A fun track
A great round on a beautiful day at a hidden gem. Took 40 mins to get there from now Raleigh but once there nothing but enjoyment. I played the blue tees but will come back and give the blacks and try. 5 sets of tees to fit every level golfer.
Poor Green Conditions
The greens are not well kept. The ride to the course was not worth the money..
Beautiful!!
First time playing at Chapel Ridge, but I will definitely play here again. The staff was extremely friendly. The course was not too crowded (played Labor day). The course was beautiful; however, the greens were a little rough. Excellent value using Golf.now only $20 for 18 holes!
