Sweetwater Golf & Country Club
About
Sweetwater Country Club is situated amid the beauty of the Wekiva State Park. Sweetwater is one of Orlando's premier golf courses, boasting a challenging championship layout with some of the area's best greens. The classic links layout brings a taste of Scottish golf to central Florida. Mature oaks shade the golf course, lining the fairways and framing the greens. The 6,771-yard layout offers a good amount of length but it's definitely not a grip-it-and-rip-it course thanks to tight fairways that require accurate shot placement. The course is home to one of the longest par 5s in the Southeast, a challenging 625-yard hole that is aptly named the "Loch Ness Monster." The heavily tree-lined hole double doglegs around a large lake. There are some challenging holes but Sweetwater Country Club isn't overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Rough shape
A bit disappointed in the condition of the course. Greens were okay, lots of weeds in fairways and most of the tee boxes were in terrible shape.
Sweetwater
Old style CC course. Greens were good. Bunkers are terrible and no rakes. Several tees need work. Love the layout and enjoy playing the course.
3 starsor less.
Conditions overall is not good. Green very slow. . Brand new carts as of 1-28-23. Very friendly staffs. On a Saturday and course is wild open. Price is very cheap. We have no choices with big groups but play here. Others courses are full. Midday. Only good for beginners!
Sweetwater
Great layout that needs some TLC. Holes 1 and 2 need to be reconfigured. Greens roll true. However tees and bunkers need work.
half bad
The clubhouse is being refurbished. The bathroom is a porto john. Back 9 is the selling point. Front 9 is sad. Won't be back
Not so "sweet" needs more TLC
Course needs lots of TLC. The greens, tee box, collapsed bridge to tee box...the list goes on. The 9th hole is the worst since the built condos all around the 9th and the 18th green.
Sweetwater
Track plays through a subdivision. New clubhouse not completed as of this date and therefore there are no amenities. Course needs some loving care, but still fun to play. Holes # 1 and 18 need to be reconfigured in the future. It is in my rotation.
Nice Round
I had a good time. 2 greens were under repair in certain area's. The Clubhouse is under construction and will be very nice when it's completed.
Sweetwater
A oldie but goodie. Great layout that needs some tender loving care. Holes 1 and 18 need to be reconfigured. Bunkers are sloppy and no rakes present.
No golf carts
Drove 45 minutes with foursome only to find our tee time wasn’t worth anything because they had no golf carts available
Private course but poor conditions
The price was okay and the layout was pretty playable and interesting. However, the tee boxes were very poor, bunkers not really playable (no rakes in any bunkers), fairways were thin and inconsistent, greens were decent. Overall, I wouldn't return or recommend this course.
Needs some major TLC
I get it their clubhouse is under construction, but at least put up a temporary pro shop that has water, Gatorade, some sort of prepared food, balls, tees, gloves, etc. The course was extremely tight, lots of trees, houses VERY close, bunkers hard as a rock, and some of the tee boxes were shaped like a turtle shell and sandy. Aside from that, the other tee boxes were good enough to find a decent spot to tee off from, fairways were in good shape, and greens were very receptive and riled somewhat true. I would not go back or recommend playing there at least until their facility has been completed and all of their equipment is pulled into some sort of maintenance shop (currently scattered along the sides of the starting and finishing holes).
