Sweetwater Golf & Country Club
About
Sweetwater Country Club is situated amid the beauty of the Wekiva State Park. Sweetwater is one of Orlando's premier golf courses, boasting a challenging championship layout with some of the area's best greens. The classic links layout brings a taste of Scottish golf to central Florida. Mature oaks shade the golf course, lining the fairways and framing the greens. The 6,238-yard layout offers a good amount of length but it's definitely not a grip-it-and-rip-it course thanks to tight fairways that require accurate shot placement. The course is home to one of the longest par 5s in the Southeast, a challenging 625-yard hole that is aptly named the "Loch Ness Monster." The heavily tree-lined hole double doglegs around a large lake. There are some challenging holes but Sweetwater Country Club isn't overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Overall a fun course.
Layout of the course is good. They are in the process of building a new Clubhouse. It looks like they had shorten the first tee to do so. Only 210 yards par 4. The course does need some attention. None the bunkers have been raked in awhile. Some had standing water.
Sweetwater
Country club style layout. Club house being up graded. Bunkers need work and holes 1 and 18 need to be redesigned. One of my go to courses.
Sweetwater
One of my go to courses. Love the back 9. Bunkers need work and rakes. A hidden gem.
Sweetwater
One of my go to courses. Love the layout, especially the back 9. Bunkers need work and rakes. Remake of the course is still a work in progress.
Not bad
Very friendly professional welcome on arrival, brand new golf carts, pace was slow but that was mainly because it was a Friday afternoon and I was happy to play on my own instead of team up with the group in front. Some of the fairways are tight but it was decent value for money
Nice layout on the back 9. Front 9 is just average. Number 1 hole needs improvement. Several greens were unplayable in some areas. The fairways were dry and hard. The entire course needs some TLC. Probably was great course in it's early days. I probably will play it again.
Sweetwater
Old country club styled course. Bunkers need work and rakes. Course does need some love and care. Enjoyed the layout. First and eighteenth holes need to be configured.
Rough shape
A bit disappointed in the condition of the course. Greens were okay, lots of weeds in fairways and most of the tee boxes were in terrible shape.
Sweetwater
Old style CC course. Greens were good. Bunkers are terrible and no rakes. Several tees need work. Love the layout and enjoy playing the course.
3 starsor less.
Conditions overall is not good. Green very slow. . Brand new carts as of 1-28-23. Very friendly staffs. On a Saturday and course is wild open. Price is very cheap. We have no choices with big groups but play here. Others courses are full. Midday. Only good for beginners!
Sweetwater
Great layout that needs some TLC. Holes 1 and 2 need to be reconfigured. Greens roll true. However tees and bunkers need work.
half bad
The clubhouse is being refurbished. The bathroom is a porto john. Back 9 is the selling point. Front 9 is sad. Won't be back
Not so "sweet" needs more TLC
Course needs lots of TLC. The greens, tee box, collapsed bridge to tee box...the list goes on. The 9th hole is the worst since the built condos all around the 9th and the 18th green.
Sweetwater
Track plays through a subdivision. New clubhouse not completed as of this date and therefore there are no amenities. Course needs some loving care, but still fun to play. Holes # 1 and 18 need to be reconfigured in the future. It is in my rotation.
Nice Round
I had a good time. 2 greens were under repair in certain area's. The Clubhouse is under construction and will be very nice when it's completed.
