Sweetwater Golf & Country Club
About
Sweetwater Country Club is situated amid the beauty of the Wekiva State Park. Sweetwater is one of Orlando's premier golf courses, boasting a challenging championship layout with some of the area's best greens. The classic links layout brings a taste of Scottish golf to central Florida. Mature oaks shade the golf course, lining the fairways and framing the greens. The 6,771-yard layout offers a good amount of length but it's definitely not a grip-it-and-rip-it course thanks to tight fairways that require accurate shot placement. The course is home to one of the longest par 5s in the Southeast, a challenging 625-yard hole that is aptly named the "Loch Ness Monster." The heavily tree-lined hole double doglegs around a large lake. There are some challenging holes but Sweetwater Country Club isn't overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Sweetwater CC Review
Course was nice once we were able to get a cart and get started. Tee time was 12:45 and we couldn't tee off untill almost 1:30. Greens need attention as they were full of grass patches that caused putting issues. Yardages were not very accurate on the Par 3's.
First time ever playing this short track just under 6300 found that it has it challenges
This track is a great experience and fun to play I wasn't on my best game. This track is in great shape with the exception of some of the greens they have some over growth. If you are one that like short par 3s this isn't the place.
Nice course
This course was in pretty good shape. The fairways were decent. The greens were a little slow with some weeds present. Some of the holes are tight. I didn't hit driver on most tee boxes. All in all good value for what we payed.
good condition of all green
all green are good condition .but should some power cart road should repair
Tight course, not a bad track
Accuracy off the tee is key here. If not you will be losing balls in backyards. A lot of homes were surprisingly close to greens and teeboxes. Teeboxes require attention here as many were sandy and sloping. Course has some very nice holes. Some greens were good, others were less than average. With a hot deal the value was great though, would like to try it again.
Course is interesting for any level of play
Overall, the course was in good shape.
Some tee boxes could use some work
nice course needs rain to help cond
nice course but bring your GPS not correct distance on score card or cement markers. it was sun afernoon and pace of play was very slow.
Sweetwater is an awesome golf course!
I live in Errol Estates and prefer Sweetwater Gold course over Errol. The conditions are in excellent condition, the price is great! However, one complaint is wayfinding, more signs should be present for finding the back nine, only for the people who have never golfed on this course before.
Fair for the money.
Somewhat tight off the tee. Emphasis off the tee accuracy. Sand traps and bunkers could be improved (had rocks in them). Watch out for the fire ants. Greens were better than average.
Some challenging holes
Staff was great. course was well maintained and some challenging holes. They need to up date hole layout signs at the tee boxes not all were correct but no big deal great course will be playing it again soon.
Similar to Pebble Creek GC, Kissimmee Bay GC, & Links @ Lake Bernadette GC
11:45 Tee time w/wife & neighbor couple. Course in nice shape. Lush tree lined course, not links style as in their website. Some greens shabby but decent speed. Some hole layouts unsual, driving backwards from green to next tee box. Not worth the $50-$70 they normally charge. Nice to say I played it but probably never will again.
The greens were large and in very good condition.
I enjoyed the course as a whole. The greens were interesting and putted well. The fairways are narrow and require accuracy.
Very good condition
Challenging for both novice and expert. Placement of water and sand traps were such that a bad choice of club could put you in a difficult position to just par. Accurate drives off the tee were necessary as some fairways were narrow. Fairways were in very good condition and greens were somewhat slow. Enjoyable and will play the course again
Overall good value for the money
Need some work on a few of the tee boxes and some greens need a little attention but not so bad that makes it not enjoyable to play.
improved
Last played here about a year ago, not in such great shape.
Greens were in poor condition, fairways so so. Pleasant surprise this time around. Greens and fairways in real good shape.
No Complaints
Greens were in great shape- fast and smooth. I hadn't played at Sweetwater in years, but was happy to play again with the course in such fine conditions. Enjoyed the round very much.
Nice older style Country Club course
The course layout is nice. A little confusing on the first couple of holes. The fairways and greens were in good shape with the greens rolling true at a fair pace.
The tee boxes and cart paths could use some work. Mowed grass was near non-existent on the tee boxes. Several portions of cart paths need to be replaced.
Most of the fairways are tight throughout the course. The back 9 is more interesting than the front in my opinion.
Overall, I'd play it again.
Nice and quiet, but just regular…
A well maintained course, but not really challenging. Some fairways are either narrow with trees aside but also on the fairway. Bunkers are OK; greens are good, but rather slow. Stuff not seen out there, except in the Pro Shop. No special service on course. Overall – it is well playable, clean and proper, but not really “catching”.
Tight Course, but fair.
Tee boxes need attention. Houses are to close to the course..can hear to much activity from back yard events.
Good fun course in lovely setting.
Very good value for money.
Lovely setting and an interesting course, tees were the poorest part of the course. Greens were good and the course is a decent design.
