Balmoral Golf Club

Let me start by clarifying that this course would b fantastic in the summer / dry conditions. Some very challenging holes. Unfortunately the same can’t b said for wet conditions. Fairway or rough, very wet, very boggy. I’m actually surprised it was opened at all given the recent weather. Lots of water gathering on fairways, some looked as tho they hadn’t been cut in weeks. I will say the greens were outstanding, really well kept. Winter tee boxes are atrocious. I would not recommend this course in the winter, despite the cheap price of £10. As I say, would b a cracker in the summer, but not in winter.

Played this today as my local course was closed due to heavy rain. Balmore was still open and was in great condition considering the weather. Layout was also great and has some amazing par 3s. Course was very enjoyable and might join up now on a full membership.

This course is without doubt the best in Belfast. Even this time of the year the greens and fairways are in excellent condition

Course very wet in places. Greens in good condition for time of year. One gripe.... temporary tee boxes are not equipped for left handed golfers. !!!

The course and greens are in fine order for this time of year. Players need the replace divots.

After lots of heavy autumnal rain Balmoral still played great.

My 1st time playing this course and I have to say it was excellent. There was plenty of rain the days previous so I was expecting a wet course but it was in great condition. It was well laid out and there are some quality holes on this course. Because of covid the bar and restaurant was closed but the club shop is excellent and has a great range of golf equipment. I will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.

The course was in very good condition what spoiled it for us was the four ball in front of us. They were extremely slow and had no regard for those of us following them. There was absolutely no one in front of them. They spent an inordinate amount of time clearing the greens as well as teeing off. Unfortunately there was no course officials to complain to.

Really enjoyed playing this course and easy to get too.

Greens where shocking !! Cut grass left all over the rough and some on the fairways !!

Public Holiday golf day out for the boys. The weather was excellent and the course was in good condition. At the end of the round everyone said they would like to play course again as they enjoyed the layout.
