Balmoral Golf Club

First impressions very good. Lovely looking club house. Used the putting, chipping and driving nets which was nice to warm up with. Tee boxs were very uneven and lumpy but fairways in very good condition and we're like hitting of lush carpet considering the rain but there where some areas of bad ground. Greens were excellent, they ran so true and we're a pleasure to putt on. The variation of holes was great. I have heard members of this club all very snobby but I never felt this while I was there so I would truly recommend the course to anyone. But avoid playing in the winter.

Course in decent condition but greens atrocious (prob spiked for commencement of season) but glad I did not pay the overpriced green fee for a Sunday, but had nice weather, good company and made most of it. Very easy to use teetime to benefit of reduced priced greenness offered by golf clubs like balmoral. Will be using tee time again.

Nice parkland course in the middle of Belfast.

It can be tough if you don't bring your A game. There are some long par 4's. The greens are quick with plenty of swing, & the pin position on that day were ruthless lol.

It's an easy walk around, as it's not too hilly & we finished our round in 3hrs30min

Overall, it's really worth a visit.

Very dull course tbh. Straightforward parkland course with few hazards on any hole other than the green side bunkers. Well maintained nonetheless but not particularly lengthy and no standout holes.

We played on a nice October day, there was some drainage work being carried out which didn't affect our day. Some nice holes10 and 11 come to mind and finishes with quite a testing pat 4. Will be back to play it again. Found it excellent value for money. Pro was very helpful with a short notice situation which cropped up for me. Didn't use clubhouse so therefore can't comment.

I have to say if you get to play this course for under £20 it's an absolute bargain. Course is in great condition and the greens were running smoothly. Some tricky holes and challenging par 3s. It was good to get a few par 4s with a driver then 5 wood to test my game. Very enjoyable round of golf with an easy smooth booking and check in.

Lovely course in Belfast with lovely mix of different types of shots needed to reach greens that were in superb condition ,a credit to green keeping staff.Meal afterwards was also excellent and staff very helpful and friendly.Easy access from motorway for visitors .

First time playing Balmoral and I was pleasantly surprised. The course was a good challenge and was in excellent condition. We were treated well by the staff and had a great morning's golf.

Course in great condition despite heavy rainfall over the last week (I believe they had to close for a while the week before due to flooding). Challenging but very enjoyable round and will definatley be back

Played this course few months ago and was reluctant to return . Glad I did as the overall condition and greens have really improved . I found it a good test and wouldn't hesitate in recommending it

Enjoyed this course a lot.The weather had been terrible all week but course played well and was in good shape.
The first few times i played here i struggled with the greens as i found some fast(front9)and some slower.But as with any course you get used to the lie of the land.
I went round in 88 which is probably my best round to date as i have only started golfing in the last 2 years.
I would definitely recommend this course as it is easily accessible from most areas of belfast and beyond.
The staff were also very friendly when dealing with our questions and queries.

The course was very slow. Fortunately got paired with 2 girls on vacation from the USA, who were a lot of fun! Not overly difficult, so great course if your on your game. Will definitely be back with my mates!
I went round 7 under my handicap

Headed to Balmoral with a friend and was impressed with what I seen. There was heavy rain in the days leading up to our round so the condition of the course was not ideal but beyond the control of the green staff. I am a novice to the sport so I found the course a challenge with good accurate and well placed tee shots required on a lot of the holes. Also the greens were challenging if you did not place your ball close to the pin, with undulations and slopes a test. All in all it was a good day and I enjoyed the variety of holes and would definitely recommend it. Did not enter the clubhouse except to use the toilet so I could not give an opinion, but what I did experience and the people that I met made it an enjoyable round of golf. Would like to play it again sometime when it is drier conditions, and God willing, I will. Good course.

Fantastic course and easy to get too. Greens in great condition and some very picturesque holes. Some tricky wee par threes with hidden dangers but all in all a very enjoyable challenge.

Word of caution. Shop assistant claimed golf now do not take money even tho you confirm payment on website. Paid at shop and charged by golf now
