Some issues

Teeing off of winter mats is fine but not when every single mat has your feet either above or below the ball. If your going to have people using slanty winter mats to tee off and the fairways are like slurry then maybe don’t charge people full price for a round?

Great value. Challenging course.

We’ve all played some truly horrendous council courses especially in England. This isn’t one of them. It’s in great condition. Well looked after and we’ll signposted. Some oh the walks between holes would be very confusing with out the signs. The course itself isn’t long but the difficulty comes from the narrowing fairways. Tricky pins and some very undulating fast greens. (I had one 25ft putt that I aimed 10ft left of the hole and still missed it on the low side!!!) my putting is ghastly to be fair. The members I chatted to were friendly and the staff were sound. I had a great day and will return definitely. Thank you to all at the course for a great day.

Hidden Gem

Well maintained course that has a lot of challenges around both halves of the course. Some of the tee boxes are more sand than grass but that’s about the only downside. Greens were fast and flat. For the fees it was a great price and will be back again

Poor

Front nine closed, not told beforehand, wouldn't have bothered if I'd known.

Far too many people crammed onto the back 9, every tee had 2 groups waiting for around 15minutes.

Course was a bog and mostly unplayable, greens were in good condition however.

Staff demanded a deposit (car keys or driving license!) for a winter mat!?! Totally bizarre, most courses give them out and get them back because - why would someone steal a winter mat?

Poor overall, played 20-30 times before but won't be back for above reasons. Waste of time and money today.
