Dog legged course but relatively short
Course was in ok condition but greens were very slow, not sure if that was solely due to early morning dew. First 9 is relatively straight and more dog leg holes back 9 which present more challenges as driver not always the best option. Par 5s are easily reachable in 2 and many of par 4s are just a small chip in. Was recommended by a friend and whilst the course is not a bad course, it wouldnt be the first I would recommend to others
Haven't played here in a number of years, but decided to go back as it seemed to be best value and choice on the day. Such a great day it turned out to be!! Made my first hole in one! on the 6th hole. Course was even better than I remembered, will be back sooner than later.
Slowest play ever
Was very excited to play this course and was met with the slowest play I’ve ever had on a golf course, there was three society’s out in front of us, taking forever to get round the course.
Took 3 hours and 10 minutes to get through 9 holes and at the 6 hours mark was only at hole 16. Had to walk off as had commitments in the evening, tbh I would like a refund for the round as it was an absolutely shocking experience on what looked a very good course.
Pace of play was awful
The pace of play on the course was awful starting about for 15-20 minutes waiting to tee off... I was playing a round on my own (1 Ball) & I asked a (2 Ball) that was infront of me that was holding the play up could I play through to quicken up play & I was refused so I finished my round on the 10th Hole & walked off course & went home...
One Ding..
Booked last minute with Son set off in time and had plenty of time to go at our own pace. Some great holes and the bunkers are well placed to challenge a decision to lay up or go for it really enjoyed our round ...will be back !!
Excellent
Challenging and great set up … will come back
Evening game
Best greens played on this year. Nice and fast. Greenacres is good value. Lost a few balls couldn't be helped. More water than you'd think about it.
Course in super condition , certainly demanding + calls for all aspects of play but a pleasure to play
Great course
I stopped here before catching a flight as I was visiting relatives. The staff were very friendly and informative. The course was great, some challenging holes and the greens were some of the best I've seen.
Enjoyable course
Nice course forgiving course with a few questions along the way.
Lovely driving range to warm up.
Just disappointing they put a 4 ball out surrounded by 2 balls.
Great greens
Over all a good corse but very hard 2 understand the layout for visitors is head wrecking
Serious work needed
Having been recommended by a friend I must admit I was bitterly disappointed, lovely looking course that could really be made into something special with the right greens staff. Bunkers that had more stones than sand, tee boxes that would rival concrete for their ability to put a tee into them and the greens are the worst, clearly no work was put into them over the winter, full of thatch and extremely bobbly, worst course I’ve ever played on, played on better courses in winter conditions. Staff in the proshop are nice and a good driving range and practice green, some very nice holes but unfortunately let down by the aforementioned.
