Donaghadee Golf Club

Used to play Donaghadee in Coca Cola youths ever summer in our youth. Decided to get the team back together after 40 years! We weren't disappointed the course was in great condition despite recent weather. Good food and drink in clubhouse. Staff very friendly. Definitely return next year.

The course was in great condition considering the rainy start to ‘24.

The greens were quick and mostly consistent, great for this time of year.

Nice to not play off matts, and to play a full 18 holes, rather than a random 9 twice!

Had a great time bar a few minor things. Will be back in summer!

Haven't played here in many years. Glad to be back. Beautiful sunny day and a friendly welcome at the pro shop set us on our way. Course overall in good condition, but a special mention for the greens. All rolling at the same speed, and given the rain fall lately the speed was very impressive. Ball rolled on all 18 superbly. It's rare that you can trust the ball to stay exactly on the line - very impressed. Good to see green keepers not forgetting tee-boxes (a pet hate of mine) - cared for as much as the rest of the course. Green keepers got out of the way promptly as you approached them - much appreciated.

Noticed a large amount of juniors and kids on the course - all with great etiquette and adult supervision with the younger groups - truly lovely to see. It's a real credit to your club. Staff very friendly where ever you come across them. A bar open throughout the entire day on a Monday - getting very rare these days - again a credit to you. You appear to be running a fantastic club and course here - it is right up there in considering joining in the near future.

Despite the heavy rain from the previous day the course was in excellent condition. The Greens were immaculate.

The course was playing really well for this time off year exceptional green's well done green keeper.

Played early - no staff in the pro shop from 9am was a bit bizarre but didn’t matter - plenty of green staff on site keeping the course in great condition.

Couple of temp tees and 2 temp greens but as stated the time of year lends to this and was expected.

Would love to come back in the summer - greens were geberslly excellent and ran true and with good pace.

Really is a nice little course

I regularly play 9 holes here as getting back into golf and i really enjoy the course and it has some wonderful views over irish and see to scotland on clear day. Anytime i speak with staff they are friendly and helpful.

I hadn't played Donaghadee for 40 years but still in great condition. Superb views from higher parts of the course. Fairways lush despite dry spell during summer. As it is September winter preparation of greens had started but didn't affect us too much.

1st time playing and I hope to play again really enjoyed. Quite hilly , mostly like a parkland course , but ground almost like a links course , hard and very short grass . Condition great , greens good.

Pro shop was closed, Had to ask around where to go who to see, went to bar and paid bar staff money, a little less than booked price , no receipt .

Pet hate of mine is poor signage , we had to ask where the 1st tee was also had to ask for fifth and a few other times it wasn’t clear where to go. ,signs on the actual tee boxes are good with hole map, No map on card . Everyone we asked were very helpful, but a next tee box arrow would help visitors a lot.

If closer to me I’d play several Tim’s a year , good value. But still worth an hours drive

Well maintained course in beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff

On arrival at 15:30 Pro shop was closed. Went to bar to get a card but they had none left. I was lucky that a member in the locker room kindly gave me a card. Other than this the course is very well kept, was quiet so no issues with pace of play Would recommend this course as it suits high handicap golfers but is also a challenge to everyone.

Lovely course and as I was on my own this particular day. The locals were very pleasant and helpful on finding my way round the course. Quite breezy that particular day and a challenge certainly. Great views over irish sea with Scotland visible across the pond.

Wow. What a course! And for £20 too! Amazingly well set out, some great holes and in superb condition. Easily one of the best courses I’ve played in a long time! Tricky round the greens, amazing fairways with some tough shots in places, great tee boxes and amazing fees off the coast.

If there’s a tee time available, play it.

Pro shop closed so unable to get a card, only let down. Course in good condition for time of year.
