Donaghadee Golf Club

Lovely course and as I was on my own this particular day. The locals were very pleasant and helpful on finding my way round the course. Quite breezy that particular day and a challenge certainly. Great views over irish sea with Scotland visible across the pond.

Wow. What a course! And for £20 too! Amazingly well set out, some great holes and in superb condition. Easily one of the best courses I’ve played in a long time! Tricky round the greens, amazing fairways with some tough shots in places, great tee boxes and amazing fees off the coast.

If there’s a tee time available, play it.

Pro shop closed so unable to get a card, only let down. Course in good condition for time of year.

Course was in excellent condition greens were very good nice open play very busy but at lunchtime but that’s probably because we played on a Sunday

After hearing the course was in excellent condition I was surprised not to find it in that way. The greens were very sandy, bumpy and slow. They had been sanded approximately 2 weeks ago so surely the watering system could have assisted in moving the excess. Some tee boxes not cut and little sand in various bunkers. Won’t stop me playing it again but on the day I have to give it an honest review.

Staff very friendly and helpful only thing you could say about course was the Greens must have been done a few days before we went there and were still very sandy.

Apart from that course in excellent order for late March

I really like playing “Port Divine” golf course. Staff and members friendly. My only criticism today is that there was more sand on the greens than in the bunkers. At one time there was more sand on my putter than my sand wedge, plus people not replacing their divots. I know the birds lift some but not that much. Saying that, really enjoyed my day with my brother and can’t wait for the better weather.

Course was in great condition even in the height of winter and after snowfall. Staff always friendly and helpful. Place is always welcoming and the golf is challenging but not too difficult- nice combination of tricky holes and scoreable holes.

Course only had 9 holes open which was a mix of holes, pro shop wasn’t open either to tell us any info so as visitors not great experience.

Golf now let us book 18 holes of golf if we knew the situation that was to be we wouldn’t have booked to play there at all, the two other people in our tee time had also booked and were unaware of the 9 holes in play and only played 9!

When we arrived Hope's were high for a good day, the rain tried to ruin it but luckily only lasted 30 minutes. We were able to complete our round dry with some challenging holes to be negotiated, the greens had been tinned but ran smooth enough, a great day for end of September . Finished off with a refreshing beverage in the clubhouse 19 with friendly staff.
