About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

A tale of two 9's
Front 9 is in great condition, however back 9 greens have been aerated and are sandy. I realize that this is a necessary course management procedure but there was no advanced warning. Otherwise tee to green course is in fantastic condition.
Still a nice place to play.
I joined a 3-some mid-morning. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were good. Sand traps were hardened by the previous day's rain and not raked...it was all guesswork. Overall, it was a good day on a good course.

everything was excellent about eagle landing, from arrival to departure, very friendly staff, service was great. condition of course was top notch, try it, you"ll like it, a good experience.

2nd time is as good as the 1st
Course was in excellent condition, greens very smooth, generous fairways, challenging from the white tees.
Course could use a few more signs as most holes are far apart. Clubhouse has very good food and an excellent, relaxing atmosphere. Everyone was very courteous.
As an out of town-er, I am definitely looking forward to playing this course again. Great value for the money!

Decent course
This course was slightly above avg. Nice holes, but needs more water hazards to enhance it.

Fun course
Played just a few days after aeration. Greens were bumpy but could tell that they are going to be fantastic. Staff is very helpful. Course layout is fun with a good mixture of easy to challenging holes. Free breakfast and lunch with two drinks.

Great Course Slow Players
The title says it all. Over 4 1/2 hours for the round. Course was in great shape. They are punching the greens on 6/1

Well maintained challenging course
Course was in excellent shape even in the dry period prior to our round (17 days without rain). Open enough that finding the errand shot was easy, but bunkers throughout the course presented significant challenges.

Great Day
Was in town for TPC, but tix fell through. Grabbed a tee time 1st thing Sat. morning for 130p. Pro Shop staff (James) was OUTSTANDING from the get go. Starter got us on early and greens were SUPERIOR!
Lunch ready for us when we made the turn. Couple of iced cold pints of beer to end the day in the clubhouse really nice. Great deal of bunkers but that's why we practice, right. Just a great day with my father-in-law. Will so, so, so be back to play again next trip to Jax/Mdlbg.

Great course for western Jacksonville
This was my first time on this course. Well taken care of and great greens for a change.
Best value in Orange Park/ West Jacksonville
I have been playing this course since it opened. Great value $33 includes cart fee and lunch (sandwich and two beverages). Greens are a 9 out of 10. Usually a 10 but there was some late winter damage. I expect that they will return to usual conditions by mid-May. 6 sets of tees so you can tailor the course to your ability. This is the perfect course for the golfer who normally shoots in the 80's or 90's.

Great Golfing Deal
Lunch ( good fish & chips ), 2 draft beers, 18 holes of golf with cart, for $36.00, on a wonderful golf course is almost impossible to beat. The sky was overcast all day, which was good. The fairways were good and the greens were perfect. Medium speed, which I perfer. The bunkers were a little firm from all the rain we've had in the area. I will go back, SOON !
