Eagle Landing Golf Club
About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

1st time playing, tough course, will be back for sure.
The course was in good shape, challenging layout. Greens looked like they were still recovering from edification but the rolled well, were just a tad inconsistent with speed. The course is great, my day was soured by one player I was paired with. He has only been playing a couple years and that is fine but he had terrible etiquette, played slow, and did just about everything wrong you could to bring a foursome down.
Great course
A fun course, fairways and greens are always in perfect condition.
Excellent value and friendly staff.
Always a great course to play with friendly staff, excellent food, and great value!
Great deal!!
What a great deal! The course was in great condition, the only reason I rated it good was the greens had just been punched and sanded but other than that it was in terrific shape. I got there, and had breakfast and lunch and 2 drinks included in the price. What a surprise!! The employees were very nice and helpful. I will be recommending this course to all my friends. I played from the tips and the course was a challenge, not easy to find in the area.
Excellent Experience
This was my first time to play Eagle Landing (April 17, 2014) and was very impressed with the entire experience. The course was in excellent shape, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was great. The value for the money is fantastic. I'll definitely be going back.
Boy, was it windy
Can't fault a course for the weather...so I didn't.
Course was in great shape, nice clubhouse.
Not Very Busy
Good place to play a quick round. Thought it might be crowded, but not the case.
Great course and great conditions
This is a very nice course. Played it for first time and was pleasantly surprised. They offer a $39 tee time that includes breakfast, lunch and two beers. That is a great deal for this course. The greens are quick and the condition of the course was very good especially prior to full spring green up. The landscaping around this community is beautiful as we saw the azaleas and Bradford Pears emerging into bloom.
Decent course , nice greens
Played on a Tuesday with 4 " of rain in the previous 30 hrs. Course was surprisingly playable with few puddles of standing water. I would play again here. Wasn't crowded because it was mid week and overcast. Sometimes the cart ride goes a way since this course is in the middle of a housing development. Water hazards didn't come in to play too much. Good course for high handicappers (i am one ). Took a while to get here from UNF area.
Great shape
Haven't played a course in the area in better shape tremendous experience
Great course
One of Jacksonville's best courses in this price range, always in good shape and tee choices to suit all levels. The course can get very busy at certain times and pace of play can be a little slow, generally the grounds staff keep this well managed.but 4 1/2 hour rounds will happen occasionally.
Bobby Jones would have...
…loved this course… the greens being tift-eagle and needing only to be mowed occasionally during the winter… rolled and dyed… were super fast. The fairways were a little skinny though. Several of the greens were elevated, living one a tough up and down if it's missed.
Fun to play!
This course is fun to play and always in great shape. Very friendly staff and might be the smoothest, fastest geens I've ever putted on.
bad manners
I made a reservation off Golf Now at a really good price at this course. When I checked in to pay for the reservation the clerk got a "bit testy" with me about the low price. To follow up I showed him the reservation email and he searched for something wrong. I told him I did not set the price but made the reservation through GN. He then began to get even more "loud" towards me and this situation. At this point I was getting less than friendly and the clerk was getting rude and more frustrated.
He finally honored the low price but in the mean time he also made me feel like I had just robbed him of his last lollipop. The clerk then told me he could not offer the other amenities that came with the tee time saying they would lose too much money. The clerk made a very un-agreeable environment what I should have done was stop the check-in process say thank you for your time and left the course.
Last thought: I took a vacation day to celebrate my birthday with a round of golf at this course. But now sometime will pass before playing at this course again. Bad manners in retail is not good.
Course has a beautiful layout & the greens are well maintained.
Challenging for me and need to come back for more challenge. Great course for the value.
Worth the trip
I played the first 9 holes by myself, the starters didn't want to hold me up which was appreciated. Course was in good shape with the greens rolling true and the fairways were in good shape as well. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. There was a lunch/beverage special, in my opinion, there needs to be more staff and less pre-teens in the grill room. it was worth the drive, and I will be back.
Definite repeater
Good track, good variety and friendly service. Will return on a day with a better forecast.
Layout
Layout was fair. Greens were in great condition. The staff was very friendly.
Super Sunday !
Played Eagle Landing for the first time on Super Bowl Sunday and Super it was ! Very good golf on a very nice course, tremendous value for money and a very friendly and helpful staff.
It might have been the first time....but it will not be the last!
