Eagle Landing Golf Club
About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

Perfect!!
I was a little skeptical at first with the overall rating and the hot deal price set at $14, but after playing this place I'd gladly pay 50+. The greens were darn near perfect providing the speed I'm accustomed to allowing for some nice long putts to drop without much effort. The fairways and tee boxes were immaculate, the neighborhood setting was great, and the bunker and water hazards provided a nice challenge from the back tees (we started close to three o'clock and were obviously the first people to play from those tees). The 7000+ yd layout from the backs really suits our game well. We live near Atlanta, work down here occasionally, and play Jax courses whenever we're down here. Eagle's Landing is now the new preferred course by a long shot! In other words play this course!
Top 5 in Jax
Wow what a pleasant surprise this hidden gem was awesome to play & looking forward to coming back.
Hurry before they aerate!
From the club house to the 18th green, the staff and course was great! The greens were magnificent; the fastest I've seen them all year at Eagle Landing. I'm going back out there today!!!
Awesome
Got a $16 hot deal and I felt like I robbed the place. Not one even average green on the course. ALL pristine, fast and receptive. Fairways produced tight lies and were in great shape as well. I've played this course numerous times and it has never disappointed. Today was no exception.
Enjoyable despite the heat
A great layout in wonderful condition was what provided the reprieve to a very hot day. The greens were true and quick enough to bring back one's putting stroke. I'll be back again.
Always in great shape
Not the most challenging course with wide fairways and generous greens. But fantastic fast greens Always a little less break than you see
A long way away
Unfortunately, this course is a long drive from my house. Fortunately, the day was worth it. The course wasn't jam-packed, the greens were in fantastic shape, and despite only playing it once before right after it first opened I was able recall a couple key local knowledge points to help my round. Also, I remembered not to play the White Tees. If you're used to playing the White Tees, do not go color blind and play them just because they're White, 'cause you'll be hitting drive-3-wood all day long. The Green Tees provide plenty enough length and challenge for the average golfer. A good course to play if you're tired of straight-line holes, too. Plenty of doglegs to test your shot-shaping skills.
One of the best
I really like the way the developer set up the course using hole designs from other major PGA course. Every hole provides a different challenge. Love it
This course has great fairways and greens
I have played this course many times and look forward to going back.
The staff is very friendly and the pace of play has always been good.
Awesome Day on the course
Husband, Brother and myself, had a wonderful day, pace was good, greens decent, fairways are always good condition, have a tee time set for tomorrow, with two brothers, husband and myself.
pvgolfer
Overall good day. Course in good shape. Will recomend.
one of the top 5 courses in Jax
Green were recently punched but almost completely recovered, rolling true, course is a hidden gem in town. Staff is excellent
Course is always in great shape
I play at Eagle Landing all the time and its always in great shape, the greens are fast the way I like them but they do hold. It is a very fair course if you hit it straight but plenty of difficulty if you're off line. Great course for the money as well.
Great Course!
Best course I've ever played. Really nice! Paid $20 on golfnow and got free beer, will play again!
Very Forgiving Course
I'm no Michelle Wie but I consider myself an average player. That being said, this is a very forgiving course. It's wide open, well maintained and was a lot of fun to play. It was REALLY wet the day we played requiring cart path only (which I try to do anyway). Drainage isn't "terrible" (I've seen worse) but there was quite a bit of standing water; welcome to Florida. My only complaint was the 8 bajillion cigarette butts surrounding every single green. Aside from that it's a fantastic course; it seems like it should be more expensive to play there.
great course
Even though they just aerified the greens, they are in excellent shape. Will try to play here often. Staff are very friendly and attentative.
Country Club Experience for ALL players
I was very pleased with the overall country club experience I enjoyed while playing for the fisrt time at this golf club. I haven't experienced that feeling since playing at the Slammer and Squire a few years back. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast and lunch with beverages (beer if you like) was included in my playing fees. The overall condition of the course was better than all the "public" courses I've played so far this season. I strongly recommend to players of any level.
Good value
Greens were true but slow. Most traps not raked and uneven; fairways Bermuda and generally good shape. Nice layout. Pin placement sheet accurate. Price very reasonable.
Nice Track
Course is nice and staff was friendly overall everything was great.
Nice course
Nice course. Great deal with the included lunch and drinks if you can get them in a timely manner. This was the 2nd time we called in our lunch order on the 8th hole and when we got to the bar/grille, our order had been given away to someone else. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes to get our food. Other than that, the golf experience was good. Too bad it's so darn far out.
