About
Crescent Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton is Arnold Palmer's only public course in the area. It is conveniently located just a few minutes west of the bridge leaving Hilton Head Island. Opened in 2000, the course has quickly gained a reputation as being one of the Lowcountry's best. Sprawling across a lush landscape blanketed with century-old oaks and towering pines, the layout is as scenic as it is challenging. While the generous fairways may be player friendly, the difficult approaches to the elevated, well bunkered greens are anything but. The large, pristine white sand bunkers were designed in true Palmer-style, closely following the natural undulations of the land. The gently rolling terrain is unique for the area. Crescent Pointe Golf Club's elevation changes aren't dramatic but they do provide some subtle, but tricky undulations in the greens that make it hard to find a flat lie.

Worst conditions in South Carolina
Been 10 years since I have played a course with no grass on the tees, and sanded sections on the greens that are unplayable.
This course should cost $10 and then it might be worth it.
I used the app to book and course charged me $2 more than the amount on my email. They said sorry that’s their price, can’t help me..
There is no way to contact Golfnow on the website to register a complaint, they don’t allow it.
Brutal.

Course is in terrible shape!
Arnold Palmer would be rolling over knowing this course is in this condition. The tee boxes and greens were almost void of grass on several holes. Most of the sand traps were like hitting wet cement and it hadn’t rain for days. Felt very ripped off by this course! GolfNow should delete it from their site.

Not Worth Top Dollar
If you are going to play this course, don’t play in the morning when the rates are top dollar. The course condition is not good. Greens are awful, fungus, burned out and bare. Fareways have bare spots. Not well manicured. Disappointing. Played there because of the reviews. Will not play there again.

Hard
If you like it hard course narrow fairways love the same bunkers and water on every hole and this is a course for you if not stay away

I hope this course gets in better shape. It needs a lot of tlc.
Love the layout. This course has a lot of potential but it is not in very good shape. The tee boxes were almost void of grass. The greens were very inconsistent and half were in very poor shape. Very disappointed to see hundreds and hundreds of golf balls in the marsh at low tide. They are an eyesore that need to be cleaned up.

Beautiful layout. Greens, tees, rough, bunkers, cart paths, pro shop are all poor, sadly. Currently club house being renovated and staff forgot to offer adequate
refreshmentt or snacks in pro shop. Except for water and few soft drinks.

Tough Back Nine but Great Layout
Played 3/31/21 in 20 mph wind. Several greens were in rough shape. Tees were mostly shot. The course needs some serious maintenance. Hopefully a wet Spring will help it out. Worth the $47 that I spent.

Course is a good value. Tee boxes were a bit rough, some bunkers the same, but what you got for what you paid, was very fair. Would play again.

Course needs work.
Greens were spotty. Fairways and tee boxes need more grass. Waste bunkers need attention. Could be good when they get it back in to better condition.

Greens & Fairways Matter
I don’t care about cart paths. The greens rolled great and I had nice lies in the fairways. The bunkers were meh! But I tried to stay out of them. Fairly short but fun to play. For the money and the location it can’t beat. The course goes through lots of picturesque landscapes. Somethings you’re a good ways from the next hole. Nice scenery.
I’d play it again. Several gators sunbathing.
