Falls Village Golf Course

The course was in excellent condition, especially compared to other courses in the area so far this season. Nice course layout with pretty open fairways. Greens were in good shape. I will definitely be back and I would recommend Falls Village to anyone.

Except for the "Non Sand" traps this is my favorite course in the area. We just take a free drop out of the "clay traps", and go on with our round. I play on weekdays, and pace of play is usually great.

Was a beautiful day to play golf and I enjoyed the round. The course was in ok shape. The fairways were lush and green. The sand traps were horrible. Typically gold courses put sand in them and not mud. Had to play them all as grounds under repair as some of them were really bad. Greens were decent but some of them could use some TLC. Overall it was a fair rice to pay for a weekend play.

I love falls. I've been playing the course for a few years now, and the condition of the course had been getting better and better. Your can tell they are definitely working on it.

They just got swanky new carts with USB ports even!

The only complaint would be around the bunkers... Most are full of water or in bad shape. Outside of that, I honestly don't have any complaints.

Although it had rained for several days the course was in very good condition with the exception of bunkers filled with water from the rain. They were working on draining the bunkers. That fairways were green and 99% of the greens were in excellent shape. They were fast, but in excellent shape. Will definitely play this course again. Got a $17 hot deal from GolfNow. I Highly recommend the course.

I played through a "hot deal" from Golf Now so I paid ~$19 for 18 holes and cart. It was rainy the past week so the course was wet and I will not punish the course for that. However, the bunkers were unplayable, there was sand/seed on multiple greens limiting putts, the rough was rocky and hard, and there was no starter so we were backed up occasionally. That said, I was finished in less than 4 hours which was great. I would play again on a "hot deal" but would not pay more than $30-35 for 18 holes w/cart

This was a very good experience for the most part. I played a couple of times in the last couple of years where the fairways, greens, and bunkers were all in bad shape. While the bunkers are still completely washed out and unplayable (I'm told they are closing the course to redo the traps and greens this summer), the tees and fairways are in great shape. With overseeding, they are the prettiest in the area this time of the year (and that includes Wakefield where I live). The greens were very fast and mostly smooth, other than around the edges which had some bare spots. Falls Village has one of the best layouts in the area, and it's the only decent course with no homes on it, which I've always appreciated.

The problem today was pace of play. I played as a single, and that worked really well on the front nine where it was basically just me. I played through one twosome. However, I hit a wall on #10. There was a twosome in front of me, a single in front of them, and a three or foursome in front of him (and who knows what else). Never saw a ranger (haven't ever seen one here). The twosome I passed in the middle of the front nine caught me for the last four holes, and I joined them to lessen the waiting, but the damage was done. My 41 on the front turned into a 49 on the back.

I'm not quite sure what's the plan here. The layout is nice, and apparently the course is affiliated with some nicer courses in the area. But the sand traps are beyond unplayable, and they look like they have multiple years of erosion without any care. Almost every green also has a ring of depressed erosion where water channels have killed a lot of the grass. They've patched it where they could, but it's the remnant of prior neglect.

I'm usually not a condition snob at all, but I can't say I'll return here with comparably-priced options in so much better shape.

Love the course itself. I play here and only here when I have my kids with me because they are so welcoming to my kids ages 5 and 8. The guy in the pro shop even gave both my kids a golf ball last time we played they really care about the future of the sport. Course is not very challenging unless you play from the blues or tips.

Solid course and a nice layout. They either need to do away with the bunkers or pay one of the kids to go rake the things, they were dried clay and in very, very bad shape. Ended up playing behind them from rough grass to make a manageable "hazard". The fairways were nice and the greens were decent despite a few dead spots on the fringes. That said having to wait over 30 minutes for a cart is ridiculous. We were the 3rd in line for carts so there is a big shortage of them and on a nice weekend it will most likely be the same, It made our tee time 30 minutes late which for an afternoon tee time that's pretty bad. Buy more carts and we'll be back.

This was my first time playing the course under the new management, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how things are going.

Overseeded fairways are rare for public courses around here and it was great to play off green grass in March. The greens were in good shape and definitely improved since my last visit. If it ever stops raining they should come in well.

Bunkers were ground under repair,, the management says that improvements are scheduled, but something has to be last on the list, and I'm not going to complain about being able to take my ball out of a bunker.

I booked this round because the course is convenient for everyone involved, but I'm impressed enough that I'm going back next weekend for more of those green fairways!
