Falls Village Golf Course

Like the layout and the creativity of staff to encourage pace of play, "shot gun" start.

I mostly play golf in Florida. Anytime I in NC I try to get around or two of golf in because playing golf in NC is awesome. Playing this course was no disapointment.l. If I were to find fault here, the people that play here do not seem to put any effort into fixing their divots on the greens or fill their divots in on the fairways. There were two holes were the grass on the putty surface was sparse, otherwise very much well maintained and plenty fast enough. I recommend golfer play here.

The was in ok condition, greens were good, but rough was just to thick. If you hit your shot in the rough you will be lucky to get it back because of how tall the grass was. The starter also kept telling our group to speed it up even though there was no one behind us since we played very early in the mourning.

course much improved from summer. Greens respectable after aeration. Fairways green good overall. Tee boxes good. Bunkers reworked and raked. Much better and high QPR at $42 on Sunday. Solid north Raleigh option now!

Played the course for the first time in 3 months. Not as bad as previous reviews suggest, but not as good as it has been. The green on # 16 is awful. The rough is too long all over the course.
Some rain and cooler temps. will help the bent greens fill in. A lot of other courses in RTP area that are in better condition. Wait until Oct before going to Falls unless it's a Hot Deal.

Good layout with questionable playing conditions. Practice green best on course by far. Don't expect the greens to roll like the practice green. I played decent for the first time here but the fairways were rough and the greens were failing and some were almost gone.

Greens and fairways were not good at all.
Course maintenance ought to be much improved.

Course fairways ok, but you have to keep them in the fairways...2nd cut of Bermuda needs to be cut dwn.
Loosing balls just inside the second cut is on heard of.

Need more attention to grooming of the landscape!!!!

Maybe the course was having bad day? I played a couple weeks before and it was fantastic. This time wasn't as great. I will probably blame it on the weather. Rough was VERY long. I'm assuming if it didn't rain the night before the rough would have been cut. Greens were aerated a week before I played, they healed by the time I played. Some tee boxes really needed some help. Paid $25 so for that price I would absolutely repeat.

Course was kept up very poorly. The greens had been aired recently, but wasn't told that at all. Still charged normally.

Really rough shape. Can't recommend at this time. The greens were very different--some ok, most not. Not cutting the grass either.

The course was in oddly uneven condition; some holes (tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, greens) were in very good condition while others were in horrible shape?

The snack shop was closed. The person in the pro shop was very friendly as were other staff... except for one old white fat guy golfing ahead of us who claimed to be a Ranger there but looked like just another golfer in a hacker foursome to us. Anyway the guy was rude and obnoxious even by "Carolina standards'.

We will NOT be coming back to this course - period.

Enjoyed our round. Pace of play was just a tad slow but it was a holiday. I was happy to play as a twosome!
Staff very friendly. Will come again.

The course is showing signs of suffering from the recent winter and hot spell. Greens were variable, as I dont think any cutting rolloing had been done due to recent heavy reans. We were able to go ont eh fairways 90degress. Some washouts on edges of fairways and flooded bunkers.

I kept looking for goats because the fairways looked like they are a feeding ground for goats.

Unfortunate because this is a really nice layout but for some reason the conditions of the fairways and bunkers are deplorable.

The greens are nice however and roll true.

A lot of hilly terrain with up and down hill shots.

Our group was on time for our early morning tee and course had fair amount of people starting. The starter asked for our receipts and we obliged. Played the front 9 in a descent pace right at 2 hours for a foursome with a steady flow of groups. On hole 10, however the same ranger that checked us in approached our group and asked for our receipts, AGAIN. He said that the group behind us whom we had noticed from hole one, complained that we had jumped in front of them. We were perplexed because as the ranger who checked us in he knew that we had started exactly on time so he should have corrected the group who accused us of jumping in front of them. It felt very disrespectful to have to show him our receipts again to confirm that we had started on time and had not taken any groups place on the tee box. It is the starter/ranger's job to manage tee times and pace of play and effectively address any conflicts or controversies that arise concerning this. Our group felt singled out to say the least and it felt like we were not treated with thr proper level of respect since he knew we had checked in on time and had not jumped in front of any group. This type of thing makes me not want to come back or refer anyone to come to this subpar course.

great course. they dont allow personal coolers and dont gave them on the carts so it makes a long time between drinks on a hot day

We were the first tee time off, so the pace of play was excellent. The greens were in excellent shape.
