About
Located just southeast of Phoenix in the town of Florence, Poston Butte Golf Club offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The course has desert attributes but the best part about its design is that it is more forgiving than some of the overgrown desert courses found in north Scottsdale. The golf course features 49 sand traps strategically placed around the landing zones and greensides and water comes into play on two holes. It is generally a player-friendly layout though with wide fairways and ample room off the tees. The par-3 17th is the signature hole, which is known for its challenging island green. Poston Butte also offers a double-ended, targeted grass range and a short game area.

Poston Butte is good as always
Golf course is in top shape, no issues . One (slow) threesome a few holes ahead of us caused several groups to wait on several tees.
Pace
2 hours and 45 min for back nine. One hour and 50 min front nine.. Proshop said they aren’t using marshals!!! May return when snowbirds are gone and heat sets in.
No water in water jug stations
This course is always in good shape sand traps nice greens very fast as always only complaint I have is no water in the jug’s around the course when provided need to be checked more often later on in the day .
April 29 2023 Review
Course in excellent condition. Tee boxes great shape. Very friendly staff. Beverage cart was seen several times during round. Water stations setup numerous holes. Pace of place was good. I will definitely book more golf at Poston.
Honest Review
Poston Butte was quite nice. The staff was friendly and very accomdating. The course was in great shape tees to greens. I'm looking fwd to playing this track again each time I'm in S. Phoenix the area. Green complex were tough and plenty of bunkers to test you game. I'd rate a four and half overall for the price it's a really nice course. Got paired with residents Mike and Ron and they were great dudes and gave a little course knowledge. Father son trip of a life time.

Beautiful course
Beautiful course that was in great shape! Greens are quite tough, but it is a very fun course. Will come back again.
