The Georgia Club - Chancellors Black/Silver Course

I have had the pleasure of playing The Georgia Club a few times. The staff is always great - everyone encountered was friendly and helpful. The greens were in very good condition - a little soft as expected a couple of days after rain - they were fairly fast and rolled true. The fairways are dormant - as are most this time of year.
If you haven't played this course - treat yourself - esp once the fairways green up.

The course is in good shape, the GPS on the cart was a nice touch range was just okay, but for $42 can't beat it, by the way they had a couple of hotties working there all in all a good place to play

This is a great course with an excellent layout. Supreme greens and very nice fairways. Many courses are unplayable after rain or inclement weather, but this course drains very well and the type of grass in the fairways are so lush, thick and smoothe, that no water seems to sit on it.
I highly recommend this course as I've played it at least a half dozen times and it has never disappointed in any way. The staff is great also.

Have played there before can be pricey in the summer but you can get some deals on golf now in the off season its well worth it they still have bent greens.

Lots of rain leading up to my round, there were some very soggy spots, but overall, good conditions. Enjoyed my round!

Everything is good except the fairway grass is yellow.

I always enjoy playing golf on this course. It is long, but nice layout. The course deserves 5 stars rating

Very nice and well-kept course. Plenty of difficult shots to undulating greens.

Course is in excellent shape tee to green. Green are fast and roll true. Monster course from tips. Must play course, well worth the drive.

Greens were about as perfect as the could be. very enjoyable.

Great course, this is our second time playing it and we plan to come back many times. The staff is excellant and actually remember that we had played there before. The greens are awesome and fast. The faiways are well kept and I love electric carts with GPS. The Black course is our favorite because it has some water holes and is challenging. We did not eat there, but the cart girl came around many times so the service was great.

Very nice course and staff. Would highly recommend it!

Recently played Bears Best and it was not even close to the condition of this course. Very impressed and will definitely return soon! !

This was the second time I have played this course. The 1st time I thought it was a fluke but it was as good the 2nd time. The course is in beautiful condition, tees, fairways and greens. It is difficult but fair. If you do not place your shot in the right position it will play long. I would give my experience a 9.5.

The course is in excellent shape. Really enjoyed a fast paced round. Fairways were well maintained. Greens were excellent. You won't be disappointed.

Course was in excellent condition and the staff was extremely friendly. We played during the week so the course was not crowded. I will go back again!

Course was in 'solid' condition as they just punched the greens a few weeks before my round. Still growing out which made putting pretty slow but the greens held approach shots very well. Looking forward to playing again!

One of the few times I've played the GA Club at less than very good conditions...greens recently punched/sanded. That in itself was not the problem...I know courses have to do it in this heat...not knowing ahead of time was the problem.

I was taking a group out that had never played it and after hearing so many good things...the greens were a big disappointment...the good was we paid a very fair rate and that should've been a signal but I've played at that rate before in great condition.

If you like smooth greens...give the GA Club a couple more weeks and they should be back to their normal great standard.

Great weather to play golf in. Especially at this course. The tee boxes and fairway were in excellent condition and although the greens had recently been aerated they were both fast and true. The two of us started at 7:40 AM played the black and silver courses and were finished at 11:00 AM. A foursome playing in front of us had let us through at the earliest opportunity. Professional well orgainzed but friendly atmosphere. Will definitely play here again.

I have wanted to play this course from a long time, but the hour plus drive from Atlanta has kept me from checking it out. After reading the positive reviews I decided to give it a shot - unfortunately I was less than impressed. From the looks of things, the bentgrass greens had been aerated probably three weeks prior and probably have two to three weeks to go before they roll true. Putts bounced all over the place. I really can't figure out why prior posters gave the conditions such glowing reviews. My fault for relying on them.

The layout is fine, but it has a bit of a "did we play this hole already?" feel. Maybe it was just one of those days but I really didn't hit many clubs in my bag. Lots of 6 irons and gap wedges into par fours. The green complexes are on the plain end of the spectrum- not much in the way of interior contour and mostly oval in shape. The nearly 5 hour round ( we teed off at 8 am) didn't help.

When the greens are in good shape I get why local folks play here- but in my opinion it doesn't come close to meriting a long drive. There are just too many other good courses that are closer and cost less.
