Eagle Trace Country Club

Great Layout, it plays like a tournament worthy course, long par 4's from back tees, not overly large greens make scoring a challenge with some water carries thrown in.

Bunkers can use some love. I had this course on my list to play and drove an hour, worth the trip and would enjoy playing again.

It would serve them better to post more course pictures on their website, the little they show does not do the course justice.

The only thing, and im now nitpicking, is that the greens are still recuperating from aeration. Give it a couple of more weeks and this course will be immaculate. Nice people and a beautiful golf course.

What a great course to play. Make sure you have your range finder, very long. Love the colonial clubhouse and feel of the course!

The course is in good condition the greens were slow and bumpy. I guess they have recently done work on them. It wasa good day. One of the best course in my area.

Paid full price. Greens being aerified. Beautiful layout however it looks like they have not put a dime into upkeep both in the clubhouse and on the course since the Honda classic was played there!

I'll start by saying the course is great. Very challenging. The course is in great shape as well. I advise you keep your drive in the fairway!!!! On hole #5 i happen to slice it right. I was in the trees in a wooded area close to homes but in play. In a matter of seconds I was COVERED in mosquitoes. It was brutal. I couldn't enjoy the rest of the round. At the turn the Pro Shop was out of bug spray. Very disappointed. I found myself again in the heavy rough and again swarmed by mosquitoes. At that point I just wanted to get the heck out of there. My fault for not having repellant on me but still. Ill play this course again..... in December. LOL

We teed off at 7:20 and there was only two of us and we were moving right along in two hours and 15 minutes into the round when we got to number 14 they had a shotgun start of a tournament so we did not get the finish the last three holes because that would’ve took probably an hour and a half Because when we played the 14th hole that took almost 30 minutes because the people in front of us were so slow they should’ve let us know that they was going to be a tournament. And they could’ve started that shotgun one through nine and 10 through 12 or 13 instead of doing 14 through 18 other than that we had a great day.!

For $109 in the summer the golf carts need to have GPS.

After hosting a couple of USGA qualifiers this week, Eagle Trace is in by far the best condition it’s been in a decade. The slow improvements made over the last few years continue to get better. Biggest difference for this round was how the grass was mowed in and around the fairways. It was even throughout and with a nice cut difference between fairways and rough. Greens were pristine, rolling quick. Eagle Trace if you’re reading please keep the course like this!

Course conditions were good. If you are going to charge a premium during the summer time $100.+, pace of play should be much faster. No ranger to speed slow play. A Par 5 hole was stacked with 4 groups at one time. (Group waiting, group on tee box, group in fairway and group on green)

Course is still fun to play and allows you to be aggressive. Greens and tee boxes are nice. Fairways are also nice but it’s hard to delineate fairways from rough as there is no cut line and just a mix of grass types on some holes.

Still a great course and I wish it could return to its former glory.
