Eagle Trace Country Club

Very fun, challenging, and fair layout. I hope to play there again

After hosting a couple of USGA qualifiers this week, Eagle Trace is in by far the best condition it’s been in a decade. The slow improvements made over the last few years continue to get better. Biggest difference for this round was how the grass was mowed in and around the fairways. It was even throughout and with a nice cut difference between fairways and rough. Greens were pristine, rolling quick. Eagle Trace if you’re reading please keep the course like this!

Course conditions were good. If you are going to charge a premium during the summer time $100.+, pace of play should be much faster. No ranger to speed slow play. A Par 5 hole was stacked with 4 groups at one time. (Group waiting, group on tee box, group in fairway and group on green)

Course is still fun to play and allows you to be aggressive. Greens and tee boxes are nice. Fairways are also nice but it’s hard to delineate fairways from rough as there is no cut line and just a mix of grass types on some holes.

Still a great course and I wish it could return to its former glory.

Overall, one of my favorite course in South Florida in Broward County

Make shure tontake your belongings because they close the cubhouse and locker room too.

We had to come back in the morning afhter our 4 pm tee time.

The greens have recently been punched and sanded. They need another 2-3 weeks to heal before it's worth playing again, especially at the price.

Course was in decent shape although the greens had recently even aerated. Thought the price was a little high for the course.

I had the pleasure of playing this course recently, and I must say it was absolutely beautiful. Every fairway was impeccably maintained, with not a single patch of dead grass in sight, even under the intense Florida heat. That level of care really speaks to the dedication of the grounds crew. 🌞🌱

One of the highlights was the driving iron practice section not something you see everywhere, and it’s perfect for fine-tuning your long game before heading out.

What really stuck with me was how Hole 9 and Hole 18 open up into wide, scenic fields. The layout lets you finish both the front and back nines with a sense of grandeur and space it’s the kind of design that makes you pause and appreciate the view before your next swing. 🏌️‍♂️🌾

All in all, this course is a gem. Whether you're playing a casual round or practicing your game, it delivers a top-tier experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!
