Deltona Club
About
The Deltona Club holds the distinction of being ranked as one of the top 20 public golf courses in Florida. The club has roots that date back to the late 1950s. It is a remake of one of the state's earliest planned communities. Bobby Weed redesigned the golf course, improving its aesthetic appeal and giving it more playability. The course sprawls across rolling hills that provide dramatic elevation changes throughout. It is a far cry from the many flat public courses that exist throughout Florida. The natural contours of the terrain helped determine the strategic placement of the numerous bunkers, many of which were added during Weed's renovation. The Deltona Club's parkland layout has an interesting mix of holes with some that even have the feel of a links course.

Played 6/8/24
Course is in fair shape considering the lack of rain we have had this year. Greens had some bare spots and were very slow, but much improved since the last time I played in April. Play on the front nine was excruciating slow due to a threesome of beginners all playing out of one bag in front of us! They quit after nine and the back play was great.
Hackers Paradise
If you are a beginner or just a hacker, looking at the spray some balls, this may be a good choice for you. If you are serious about your game, choose another golf course. The fairway grass is thin and bear in many places. The greens are a little better than the last time I was here but still inconsistent. The first cut of rough is being mowed but once you get off of that, you could be wading through weeds. The golf course layout is good, but that’s about the only good thing I can say about it at this time.
Deltona Review
Course looks great! Some fairways were being aerated but wasn’t an issue by any means. Greens were the best I’ve seen them since I started playing there last year.
Always a solid choice
Deltona is always in decent shape and offers a pretty unique layout. Not one lick of water on the course and conditions of tee boxes and greens are in satisfactory condition. Great value.
The course keeps on improving
If you come and play Deltona at the right time, you basically have a whole golf course to yourself. This is one of my favorite places to play for this reason and also they have one of the nicest staffs.
Conditions are coming back very nicely. The greens on the best condition I’ve seen in years.
One thing you can always count on at Deltona is the staff is fantastic. Now the course is coming back and looking good a lot of days you can go out there and it’s like having your own golf course.
Rough was ruff!
I understand that rough is not where you are supposed to be, but you should be at least able to find your ball. I spent so much time trying to find my ball in the rough or sand that I finally quit after 15 1/2 holes. Staff was not the problem and I have played the course before and enjoyed it, but not this time.
It was dry
I played there because it was not cart path only. It had many bare places around the greens
There’s no one playing here if you don’t you’re a sucker
The course is in very nice shape. The pace of play is absolutely unbelievable. You can get through in 2 1/2 hours easily. I don’t get it , if you don’t play this course then you’re missing out on an extremely relaxing around the golf on your own golf course. Not to mention the staff there is always fantastic.
Friday 9
Course is in poor condition. Not sure why. We were behind a 4some, a young girl 6-8, who's father let her run around every where. 2 Teens , looked like they never played golf before, no etiquette, drove in bunkers, drove to edge of greens. Teens would finish the hole, then adult, possibly father and young girl would play their own little game on the green. 2.5 hours for 9 holes, waited constantly. Will not play here again under any circumstance.
Needs TLC
Nice course but needs some TLC. Greens were ok, but very slow. Tee boxes could use some help. Some fairways were just dirt with very little grass.
Course conditions
Reason I came back great value. All greens are the same and putt true. More rain will only make it better. I'll be back.
Golf
The course was in very good shape. Friendly staff.
Just average
The course is far from pristine condition. Slower green speeds, a fair amount of areas with sparse to no grass. Ok considering the price, but don’t expect a country club experience.
Better than expected
The course conditions were better than expected for mid-summer.
