About
Desert Springs Resort boasts two championship courses designed by Ted Robinson, the Palms and the Valley. The golf courses are known for their beautiful setting, offering unrivaled views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and the Coachella Valley. The Valley Course is considered the less challenging of the two, but both offer a stunning landscape covered with swaying palms and blue lagoons. The course features player-friendly fairways that beginners will enjoy, but there are also a fair amount of challenges. Like on the Palms Course, there is plenty of water. Between the two golf courses, more than 35 acres of water features come into play in the form of man-made lakes and streams. In addition to the two courses, Desert Springs also offers an 18-hole putting course, which offers all the same challenges as the other courses including bunkers, water hazards, and undulating fairways.

Beautiful Course
Love this course! It was my second time playing there. It has a lot of undulations, and water does come in to play on some holes. Many of the greens are elevated or have false fronts so you really have to know your distances and carries to make it on in regulation. We flew through the course and never saw the threesome in front of us and the foursome behind us. The course was in fabulous shape and the greens ran fairly true - medium fast and less break than they appear. My only negative was the $16.00 dollar sandwich from the snack cart. They charge really high prices for their snack food. Ah, the travails of playing a resort course.

Enjoyed the course layout. Enjoyed the water features. Enjoyed the staff. Pace of play was a little slow.....it seemed that the marshal didn't push people a little.
Greens were the only real disappointment....slow, rough, furry......not what you expect at a championship course.
It was an awesome course pier I understand that is peak season and some prices of more. But I had a great experience
Fairways and greens review
Good day. Fairways were in great condition but greens were slower than a Muni course. Still give a 5 star rating but running at a 5-6 at best. Dead stop 1-2 ‘ to hole. Fox those and course is ideal conditions.
Bad ice
Our biggest beef is that the ice we were given in a plastic cup when we purchased our $3/bottle of water had a horrible flavor. I don't think the Marriott has cleaned their ice machine for ages! It gave me a headache. We both had to throw our the water and ice.
Greens and bunkers
No sand in the bunkers - mostly dirt, Green is poor condition for the price.
The Valley Course
Fun track. Challenging. Enjoyed the course so much I have booked another tee time.
Great course. You must play it
This is on of the best and must play courses in the Palm Desert area. I loved it. Will come back.
Excellent conditions
Played here for the first time and I loved it! From fairways to greens, everything was awesome.
Beautiful but difficult course with all the bunkers and water. Greens a little slow compared to other courses we have played but still had a fun time
