Desert Springs Resort boasts two championship courses designed by Ted Robinson, the Palms and the Valley. The golf courses are known for their beautiful setting, offering unrivaled views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and the Coachella Valley. The Valley Course is considered the less challenging of the two, but both offer a stunning landscape covered with swaying palms and blue lagoons. The course features player-friendly fairways that beginners will enjoy, but there are also a fair amount of challenges. Like on the Palms Course, there is plenty of water. Between the two golf courses, more than 35 acres of water features come into play in the form of man-made lakes and streams. In addition to the two courses, Desert Springs also offers an 18-hole putting course, which offers all the same challenges as the other courses including bunkers, water hazards, and undulating fairways.

Perfect day on NEAR perfect course.

I last played this course in 1994. It's still a really GREAT course. It was $98 on GolfNow.com as a Hot Deal. I applied six $10 Monthly Credits from GolfNow.com so out of pocket was only $38!

5-Star all the way except, the greens. They are really good, but I'd only give them a 4 stars. They were a bit bumpy and seemed almost "thin" compared to even other courses in the area.

Now that I recently moved back in the Inland Empire, I will definitely be back to this course as often as I can!

The Fairways are good.

The fairways and grounds are in great shape and beautiful. The sand traps are aweful. . Compacted hard sand. Most greens were in good shape. Very undulating. Divots in fairways aren’t repaired.

Over priced for the condition. Much nicer courses in the area for the same money.

Great Course One Disappointment

The course was tough but fun to play and in great condition. Pace of play was excellent! The staff in the Pro Shop were welcoming and very friendly. The only disappointment was when we returned our golf cart. The employee came out very friendly and prepared to assist but once we said we were good, he stopped communicating. My husband thanked him very much and said “have a nice day”.....no response. I picked up my belongings, thanked him very much and said, “have a nice day”.......no response. He clearly heard both of us become was standing right at the drivers side of the cart and it was evident that he expected to be tipped and was not happy that we chose to carry our own bags. This is a prestigious facility that cost us over $500 CDN to play and this guy was a let down.

Pace of play

We played the front nine of the Valley course in 2 hours and 15 Minho h was awesome and enjoyed the layout and condition. When we made the turn there was a back up and by the time we got to the 11th tee box there was a group on the green, a group on the fairway waiting and two groups on the tee box waiting. We called the pro shop and no one was answering, my whole foursome was on their phones to the golf shop and on hold. No one cares to take a call. I guess they k ew the situation and better to leave guests on hold then solve the problem it take ownership for the backlog. We finally got the cart lady to use her radio to tell the golf shop about the issue. The Marshall came by and offered an option to play the Palm course front nine as the pace was not going to change. Thank goodness for his creative thinking we finished in 4 hours and 30 min. Awesome course, poor course management.

Good course - fun time

Good resort course — beautifully green throughout. Forgiving fairways to drive. Tough, undulating greens — funky winter Bermuda grass looked coarse, but was fairly quick. Gotta really rap it uphill. Couple of challenging, picturesque approaches over water on the back.

My solo golf outing

Course was in great condition both fairways and greens. Pace of play was good today3:35 minted. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great value at the hot deal rate. My one complaint with the course is the extremely undulating fairways so a lot of your shots are uphill, downhill or side hill. I think the Palm course has even more undulating. Resembles moguls.

Great Course

Teed off at 10:20 and it was pretty chilly. The rain started to fall harder but we sucked it up and played as long as we could. My playing partner and I play fast and managed to play 14 holes in 2 hours. By then we were soaked and freezing. Went in to the Pro Shop and they gave us a rain check to use the following day for the back nine. How good is that!!!

Excellent design and fairways in good shape. Only issue was that the greens were a bit slow but rolled true.

Great conditions, great weather, great staff

We used an UnderPar deal to play both Valley and Palms. Fantastic deal -$199 for the foursome and included a re-round. Course was in fantastic shape, I couldn’t see a single problem area on the whole course. Greens ran true and fast. We played Valley in the afternoon and there were slowdowns but we still played in under four hours. Starter and Marshals were friendly and helpful. Overall just a great experience. Anxious to get out there again.

Incredible Parkland golf everytime!

The Valley course is a resort course like Desert Springs Palm course. That's about as similar as they get.

The Valley course allows some errant tee shots but angle of approach rules. Cut off that angle, even though the target is in full view and par becomes a challenge. If you miss in the wrong spot you will keep adding strokes. Lots of rolling terrain with uneven lies can frustrate even the best players

The Valley course does not have a lot of Fairway bunkers. But the bunkers they do have are perfectly set to swallow what might look like a good shot. Over water on approach shots await but the beauty of the hole design leave you anxious to play it over and over.

Par threes always seem to be set into a breeze and deceptively longer than in looks A brilliant design. The Valley is a true test I will play over and over. It's that good.
