The Links Course at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is the ultimate in risk-reward golf. The architect, Tom Jackson, routed five holes along the bay and then wound the course inland across rolling undulations. In order to prevail against the blustery Gulf Coast winds, accuracy and proper club selection are essential, making it a true shot-maker's golf course. In addition to being right along the shores of the Choctawhatchee Bay, the Baytowne Marina serves as a backdrop to the course, providing even more stunning views of the Emerald Coast. Of the four championship golf courses that Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers, the Links is one of the original two and also one of the most popular. The layout offers a unique links experience that all skill levels can enjoy, especially since it features four different sets of tees.

Sandestin The Links

Course was not crowded and pace of play good - just under 4 hours with a 4some. No one really manned the bag drop for drop off or when leaving - did get someone to put bags on cart when we found them after we unloaded them from car. The bag drop person when we finished went in the barn and never came out. Facilities were not great so we never tried them. Course greens were in excellent shape, fairways OK. The course layout is good is good and based on your tee as challenging as you would like to make it.

Water Closet

Starter and cart guys are great! Friendly and helpful! Pretty course and fun to play. Only played 9 this time and finished up at 4:15. Quick trip upstairs to restroom and on my way…nope! Only bathrooms are locked up and Pros long gone. No problem. Cart guys have let me use the employee restroom downstairs but wait…their restroom is out of order. They have to go across the street too! Come on guys…the amenities don’t fit the golf course. For gosh sakes, add a portable water closet if this is the best you got.

scenic course

Links is one of my favorites in the Destin area. Greens are overseeded and a bit slow but the overall layout and scenic views make it a fun course. Sand traps need reworking. Bring some extra balls if you don't hit it straight because there's plenty of water to swallow them up.

Nice Bay View Course

I always enjoy playing golf here, however; someone has to check the bathroom at the back 9, because it looks like it has not been clean for days. The toilet was filled of toilet papers that it was not flushing although there's water in it. Put a BIG Sign for people/golfers to read " not to put toilet papers in the toilet", and provide a trash Can near the toilet, so golfers can pitch the toilet paper there... I know that I am suppose to review golf only, but outdoor bathroom is part of the golf course too.

The Starter John Dee is awesome, he let me tee off early because it was wide open...
