Northop Golf Club

Just played this course for only my second time, played a few weeks back in heavy rain and the course was brilliant then even if the weather was against us, but today it was perfect. Its a really well looked after course with some testing holes. Will definitely be coming back again and again

We have played here quite often over the last few years and it never disappoints

Something for everyone a couple of weak holes on front 9 but all in all a great place to play

Only issue is that we got paired up with 2 other people in a 4 ball even though there was. Nobody behind us this is something that needs to be addressed as it could spoil a day out for some of us and then we will stop using the service. Please take notice of this GolfNow

First time around this course. Upon arrival I was made to feel welcome and received some information about the course layout. The course was in a lovely condition and I felt it improved the further into round i got. For the first 8 holes it rained a fair bit but by the 11th hole the course was in a dry condition. I was surprised how well the course had drained and that the greens didn't feel wet after the earlier rain. I will be visiting this course again.

The course was poorly maintained, it hadn’t been mown for a good while, we could hardly distinguish between the rough and the fairways, more like playing in a field. A lot of the ball washers were empty but rubbish bins overflowing! Generally very disappointing and won’t be returning in a hurry.

Nice course in great condition. Not too difficult! Easy to get to. Friendly staff.

I have played this course at the start of last year and managed to get round 14 holes before I had to leave due to a family emergency, so decided to come back again, part of me was glad I did and part of me regrets it. The pro was really nice and approachable when I arrived, the amenities appeared to have been improved since I last played so all started great. The first few holes where really great and are beautiful to play, until I got to 7th and the rough started getting thicker and had lots of dead grass everywhere making it really difficult if ni-on impossible to find my ball which really frustrated me, poor maintenance. I found some lies where really easy to play out of and others where so tough it was unreal and very difficult to find fairways from the rough. Front 7 great the other 11 a real let down

Considering the weather in the last few weeks the course played great wet in places but the greens were superb for early October couldn't ask for more and great value for what we paid

We have played at Northrop many times and never been disappointed. Sone areas were a little wet on this visit but it has been training alot lately and it's only to be expected at this time of year. Good fairways and greens but the rough was very thick. Your always assured of a warm welcome To this friendly club. A good days golf.

Recently played at Northop and had a really enjoyable round, got round at in 3.5 hrs for a 4 ball greens rolled lovely ,you had to hit the fairway tho!! Don't go in the rough great value for money definitely be going back

Having played this course a few years ago I was looking forward to the challenge. While the fairways were in good condition the tees had not been cut for what looked like over a week and they were covered in divots. The greens were also very slow considering the time of year. The club house appeared to be run by the members, one of whom booked us in and another served us with drinks in the club house.

Can be challenging if windy. Greens were rather slow.

Course in very good condition and greens fast. Well worth the money

Smashing course friendly staff would play here every weekend if it was 30 miles closer

For this time of the year the course was in good condition, played it many times..a good test of the whites

Staff at this course were absolutely superb, never felt so welcome before even by the members in the communal areas. The course is challenging for all levels of golfers, I'm a casual golfer and I really enjoyed it. For every difficult hole there seems to be a more forgiving hole directly after it, it's not a hilly course but you won't always get a flat lie on the fairway. The greens were let down slightly due to not quite being ready and in the middle of being treated, having played the course before though I can vouch that once they're up to par (pardon the pun) they are superb and consistent. I would recommend all types of golfers to go and enjoy a round of golf at Northop, challenging and forgiving in the right measure.
