Nice course just confusing in certain areas

As this is the first time I played the course I will say the course is very pretty and has some fantastic holes on the front 9 even snook a birdie in but I did struggle to work out where some of the pins where from the tee as there where places where you had a couple of options until you got close and disappointed after the 10th tee shot as the holes after that where just not as good. The guy in the club house was erm feel a little harsh saying this but totally useless and unwelcoming. Having said all that I will admit I would like to go back and play the course again in the summer.

Cold but dry

The course was in quite good condition for this time of year. Lost a couple of balls under the masses of leaves but other than that it was a very enjoyable round.

Extremely scruffy and un cared for course

Having played Northop many years ago I was looking forward to returning. What a shock we had!! Very scruffy generally.Bunkers not raked at all, we even pulled out little saplings growing in them! Bunker edges very scruffy and overgrown. Tees were shocking, really really poor. Paths had no defined edges, rough was extremely long, as were several fairways.

Greens have always been good at Northop. Not now Im afraid. Inconsistent, mossy patches and generally poor.
We booked 18 holes but only played 9. When we spoke to the pro he seemed un-interested and didnt apologise at all and offered no explanation.

We will not be returning and recommending to anyone!
