Rating 69.0

The golf course at Seascape Golf Beach and Tennis winds through a series of freshwater and coastal dune lakes, naturally making water a prominent feature on the course. It comes into play on fifteen of the 18 holes. Besides the shimmering blue waters, the golf course is accented by the tall pines that blanket the softly rolling hills. The strategic placement of the greens and hazards require some careful maneuvering and accuracy. The course provides a fair challenge that is made all the more difficult by the distracting scenery, which includes views from most of the holes that stretch to the Gulf of Mexico. Golfers who are short on time have the option of a nine-hole round in the afternoons. In addition to the golf course, Seascape Resort also offers a grass driving range and two practice greens.

Friendly staff

Very friendly staff. The guy pulling golf carts was very helpful and friendly. The course could use better direction with signs for holes. Some of the greens were burnt. Overall good course for the value.

Do not play here

The greens are horrible; some grass and dirt/sand. Tee boxes are just sand and dead grass. Pay extra $40 to play elsewhere.

Call the clubhouse first

Got the reservation online and never spoke to golf shop, otherwise would have been able to find out how poor the green conditions were. Somewhat of a short course, if greens were in good shape would have given course a 4/5 and definitely would have been a great value for the price. We had a great time regardless.

Poor greens.

These greens were the worst I’ve ever been on . I’m sorry to say that because this course could really be an asset to the Miramar area. I am afraid Seascape golf must be going out of business. That’s what the greens look like and whoever is in charge doesn’t care.

Worst greens I have ever seen.

This course needs to do something about their greens. I live in Lubbock, Texas and these greens were probably the worst I have ever seen. The course would have been much more enjoyable to play on if they cut the tall grass around the rough and had playable greens. On top of that, the pace of play on the last five holes was horrible. I waited nearly 15 minutes each hole as they were so backed up.

Don't waste your time or your money at this place. Greens were in horrible shape if that's what you would call them.

Worst greens in America

The course needs to be closed. There is more dirt on the greens than grass. It is probably in the worst shape that I have ever seen a golf course. We should have been told that the course is not playable.

Needs a lot of work

Maybe Covid has something to do with the decline of this course. 70% of the greens were damaged really not playable. The fairways had many bare spots so even if you were in the center of the fairway you were still hitting off the “pan“. The greens look as if they caught some type of fungus or disease and are dying. The staff is extremely friendly and I’m sure they would prefer to be representing a much nicer course. Think about your poorly kept municipal course back home, pretty much the same. I hope they can fix the issues.

Worth the price

For only $33, it was worth the money. However, if you’re looking to play on a course with nice tee boxes and greens, this isn’t for you. But again, a round of golf including cart rental for only $33 is hard to beat.

Half of greens were unplayable

Some greens were good but over half were unplayable, mostly bare ground. Staff should have warned players of unplayable greens before sending us onto course. I would not have paid green fee for two players if I had been told of the conditions of the greens. No refund was offered because fees were prepaid.

I should have asked for my money back. Some greens were only a third grass the rest sand.

Avoid

Course is in terrible shape. They have lost several greens. Some of the retaining walls around the greens are about to collapse into ponds. Cart paths are crumbling. I believe the course will eventually be developed into residential properties and the management is letting it go.

The course was offering a discount due to conditions but this was not available through Golfpass.

Seascape golf

No warning about the greens under construction till after I’d paid my greens. All but two looked like a disease has killed ALL the grass but a few patches. The clubhouse couldn’t put a simple grip on my putter but referred me to the nearest Edwin Watts. Not what I’d hoped for in a “luxury” golf experience.
