Seascape Golf Beach and Tennis
About
The golf course at Seascape Golf Beach and Tennis winds through a series of freshwater and coastal dune lakes, naturally making water a prominent feature on the course. It comes into play on most of the holes. Besides the shimmering blue waters, the golf course is accented by the tall pines that blanket the softly rolling hills. The strategic placement of the greens and hazards require some careful maneuvering and accuracy. The course provides a fair challenge that is made all the more difficult by the distracting scenery, which includes views from most of the holes that stretch to the Gulf of Mexico. Golfers who are short on time have the option of a nine-hole round in the afternoons. In addition to the golf course, Seascape Resort also offers a grass driving range and two practice greens.

In bad shape!
They should be paying you to come play on this course!
It is in such bad shape! And with a hole closed and equipment on the course it should at least be severely discounted.
The staff don’t wear masks. Can’t tell if they sanitized cart, so bring your own Clorox wipes to wipe everything down.
You get what you pay for
If you are a weekend hacker with lots of free time for a slow round, the course is serviceable. The front nine has some scenic and wide open. Holes making it enjoyable.
But if you are a serious golfer who wants efficient play, go somewhere else and pay the extra $40-50. It will be money better spent elsewhere.
Apparently the storms were worse on seascape than they were two blocks away cause the course had a horrible back nine and the pace of play was mostly a stand still will not be playing again unless conditions change there are better places to play for the money ie: Rocky Bayou.
You get what you pay for
Paid $26 for 18 holes with a cart. Can't complain about that price, but then I played the course. Each hole is a different challenge. Some fairways are mostly sand, so you are better to hit it into the rough off the tee. 75% of the greens are dead and completely unusable. No way to follow a line with how bouncy and terrible the greens were.
It's a good price if you are just trying to goof around and don't care about your game. But if you are looking to get better and actually care about your score, it's best to play somewhere else.
Good potential , but no maintenance
We have played this course over many years. It is amazing that it can be maintained just on the edge of being unplayable. Most greens have as much bare as grass, fairways are spotty, tee boxes need markers because they are same as fairway. This is too bad since it is a nice layout.
Warning
GolfNow should post a warning about the condition of Sea Grove Golf Club In the description of this course!
1) Hole # 14 is CLOSED
2) greens are impossible due to the condition of all greens are 10 to 30 % rough spotty grass and the rest was sandy !
3) I have played this course several times and have never seen it this Bad.
4) GOLFNOW Please post course conditions!!!
Absolutely terrible
This is the worst course I have ever played. I would not recommend this course to anyone. The greens were dead and the tee boxes on most holes where dirt.
The course is not bad
The greens were In poor condition fair ways they were bad too in general I will not play the course again
Complete Garbage
The greens on this course were more dead than alive. Tee boxes on several hokes were dirt and uneven. Not wirth the cheaper price and I will never bother going there again.
It's been better
I have played here before and the conditions were much better. The basis for this is the results left after hurricane Sally. The rain covered the fairways, and sat for quite a while. It also affected the greens. I do expect them to get things back in shape, and I will be back.
Course needs TLC
Course was in terrible shape! Greens aren’t playable, hole 14 was closed to play because it was flooded. Overpriced, will not ever play course again. Staff is nice
Very poor condition - save your money and play somewhere else!!
The greens were some of the worst condition of any greens I’ve ever played on - the condition was so bad it was luck to make a putt. The tee boxes were in bad condition, the fairways were spotty at best and the upkeep of the course was overall disappointing! I would recommend spending more money and playing elsewhere.
Goat ranch
Didn't pay much but but this course is a disaster.
Horrible conditions
Would not recommend course in horrible condition and the greens are terrible.
In need of attention
Based upon the on-line description, I was expecting much more! The driving range was very basic and had no chipping or bunker facility. Tee boxes were sandy. Fairways sparse. Greens shameful. Pave of play was slow and only the front nine was open (played twice). Very disappointed and won’t be returning.
This course has fallen on hard times
I really wish I could give this course a good review. You can tell that, at one time, it was a nice course. The layout is good, with a challenging combination of water and bunkers. But they have just let this course go to pot. The fairways are brown and burnt out. Many of the fairways had an average of about 10% grass coverage. For most shots, you were hitting off hard pan. Depressingly, the greens are even worse. You just hit the putt and prayed. The clubhouse and restaurant were nice. The staff were friendly. But they need to plant some grass and put a little water on this course.
surprise
Back nine was closed so had to play front nine twice. Used different tee boxes to use different clubs. Not bad but not what I expected.
Should be closed
Only the front 9 is open for play. Water damage from flooding kept the back 9 closed. We played the front 9 twice. The greens were in terrible condition and it looked like they have been that way for a while. Most of the greens were dead. The fairways were not much better. I live in Nashville TN and I vacation here in Destin every year. I have played this course many times but this leaves me with a bad feeling about this course. Seascape now has a bad reputation.
Why?
With all the great golf courses around this area, how this one survives is amazing. The front desk guy was nice but the cart guy was not. Only nine holes open and only three of those even worth playing. greens were terrible , dead grass.
